DL-44XT is also my weapon of choice.
Occasionaly switching out for the tangle pistol or genoshian sonic blaster.

Kill the Necrosis over and over til you loot one 
They're the new "I've got this gun I'm cooler than thou" gun like the DE-10 used to be
Thought not as rare really, as it's loot not a loot/loot/craft thing.

what the heck is a Necrosis? I'm assuming it's somthing on Kashyyyk... any quest I have to do to gain access to it or is it just found in some particular area?

Necrosis is the clone of General Grievious and is located inside the myyrril caves (sp?)on kashyyyk, he will always drop a grevious fighter deed, a cyberarm, and a random rare weapon.

If you aren't spamming ranged shot as your primary attack it is max damage that matters, not DPS.
Honestly, I occasionally use a DL44-XT and most of the time an Advanced Laser Rifle due to rifleman 4xx4 and its range/damage.

I usually switch between my DE-10 and Elite Carbine....though I do have a few other types of weapons on me just to change it up at times.

And you need a good group as he is verypowerfull, as iare the 2 guard droids with him

I'm a Master Smuggler/Master BH, so I have alot of weapons I can use. I go for the Perfectly Calibrated Pistol that a guildy gave to me the other day (we like killin' Necrosis and you get some nice weapons from him, but I jus' wasn't with the group when they got that one...), and it's used for my energy type pistol, but for over damage for a pistol it's my High Caliber Scatter Pistol. For carbines I either use Czerka Dart Carbine or Proton Carbine, of course depending wether I want energy or kenetic. For rifle I use LLC or Laser Rifle.
Only a few of my weapons top DPS of around 500, sliced, so I'm lookin' for new weapons. Same types since I either like thier style (Czerka Dart Carbine of course...a ton o' style), or thier damage output.

Mainly the Knuckles of Katarn, until I get the tkm knuckler that necrosis drops. Other than that every now and again I'll use my Featherweight FWG5, nothing special but added range helps with my template.
