I'm going to be a delusional smuggler for a little while and hope (pray) that SOE realizes that the CU sucks and rolls everything back.
I know it will never happen, but I can still hope.

The CU FINALLY made this game playable. You SERIOUSLY want to go back??? 100k+ HAM NPC's, retarded defense stacking (Jedi can do this now =/ ), exceptional weapons that did the damage of 6 riflemen, DoT's, 10 million credit pistols that couldn't do over 45 damage in PvP....
Those days will never return, and if you think they were better than the playable system we have now... you have more problems than just disliking the new system

Honestly, the ability to be "exceptional" due to your equipment alone was pretty good, although with some flaws, and it is something that's very much missing from the current system due to the damage caps etc. - now that possibility isn't even there anymore.
I would greatly prefer to see a Bounty Hunter killing a Jedi with special poisoned flechette rounds from his modified Czerka carbine than, you know, a Jedi killing a Jedi...

The only thing wrong with the pre-CU system IMO was:
1. The insane buff levels.
2.Insane DoT's from CM's and uber DoT weapons.
3. Jedi.
Now in the Combat Upgrade (laugh) system you have:
1. Jedi. Still there, and they still suck.
2. Must be a master of two elite proffessions AND have at least 4000 CM or Doc. Don't have enough credits to be your favorite two Masters + doc? Sorry, guess you just have to respec.
3. Most crafting proffessions seem to be broken right now. Even if they weren't, is there really much use for them anymore?
I'll admit, I like a FEW select things from the new system, but they didn't need to overhaul everything to achieve those areas. Now combat is just plain bland, and you have a whole 3 or 4 templates that are viable when there were probably hundreds of templates that were viable before.

I dont care about defeating those FOTM uber template133ts... I just want to harass and evadethem and a smug can now definately do that.

I'm with you, Arsani. My guild is mostly jedi or FS and bounty hunters. (Oh, the irony.) But I always see on guild chat, "Hey, can someone help me with a quest?" I'm always looking for something that's actually fun to do so I say, "Sure! Where are you?" And, inevitably, in route I get "Are you FS?" "No." Oh, sorry. You won't be able to help."
Then I get "Why don't you go get FS?" "Because I have no desire to be a jedi." ::sigh:: I just want to smuggle.
