Thread: What the hell is this? A bribe?

The devs took time out of their schedules from fixing the game to make a few cheesy props for a christmas party on my server, so don't tell me that they did this to keep from being pulled away from bigger and better things. The devs are obviously lazy, and this is some lame marketing strategy for some newbs to hear about this so they'll be like "oh man, i gotta buy JTL so i get all that cash"... Lame devs, very, very lame.

For veteran players, this 75K "thank you" isn't much, but to a new player, it is a lot of cash to have.

At least they gave us something.

heh...I'm at the point now where if my bank account drops below 500k, I feel like I'm in the poor house. And it wasn't very long ago that I was down below 200k...

But, I've bounced back rather nicely...back up close to 3 mil...

Heh, I am almost completely opposite....I could never get past about 50k for about 6 months (was playing a solo scout), now that i am a smuggler I just back up to 3mil last night. Made nearly 600k alone last night..have no clue of how that happened since I haven't had over 3 customers in two weeks, but last night made up for that. Now that I have all this dough I don't want to spend it, since I was running the poor house for so long.

Yeah, it's not much considering how much you can make. However it's Xmas, so I'm tipping the first newbie I see. Might even run out to Mos Eisley specifically to do that tonight.

For my MS toon on Chilastra it is not much but for my newly "born" not a single badge yet toon on the Test Center, that's a LOT.

Yea I refuse to go below 1M in my bank. If I'm at 1M, that's 0 to me. Like an Insurance policy against any unforseen circumstances.

Conversely, I made 500k in credits alone every time I went looting meatlumps for lootkits.

I could walk into Theed and take off my pants and run around asking for money and I'd make more than 75k. 75k is toilet paper.

Just to note: I've never had more than 1.8 million credits at any one time. I tend to spend it as fast as I get it.

I had 1.5 mil but that went pretty fast with tipping newbs and buying locked containers for the novice smugglers on my server to slice. then came jtl and i blew most of it buying my yt-1300 and the black sun heavy fighter (who's name i still can't spell) and some parts for each.

I spell it differently every time, usually some form of phonetic spelling, Rixirk, Rhixyrk, etc. I find making money is a simple matter of being willing to spend a few buff sessions getting into some challenging fights with some challenging npcs, and looting them. Pretty much any combat-related SEA with at least +6 as a mod can fetch around 1M in the current market.

On a related note, I am SO INCREDIBLY PISSED. I dropped slicing a few weeks ago to play with my template, but for some reason, I was able to keep all 100k xp that I needed to retrain it. Well, I sliced a container yesterday, and LOST 70k of it. How much BS is that?

It sort of feels like getting $$ for the holidays from the weird old uncle who has no idea what you want as a gift.

gah max

Yeah it is a not so known fact about dropping skills. You keep the extra XP you had until you use the skill again, when it happen your XP get "readjusted" to the new skill cap. (being what it take for the next untrained skill + half of it or something like that)

Humm maybe i'm doing something wrong but i got over 50million in the bank and i'd say about 30 to 40million of it came from killing meatlumps the last month or so..

The exact same thing happened to me. I decided to rejoin the world of smuggling and thought I would not have to redo slicing. ha ha ha ha. I found myself looking everywhere for enough clamps, wuks, and crappy weapoms to slice for a couple hours. Oh well, after a couple hour sessions I regained my slicing title, now its time to become a drug manufacturer again
