OK, I was able to do it tonight. Maybe you have to be neutral pilot and smuggler? I dont remember seeing the option before, and I'm not up to those missions yet. I just made novice smuggler a few days ago, so maybe thats part of it. I'm also an Imperial on the ground, so that has no bearing on it. And since it drops you outside the palace, I would imagine you dont have to have completed the themepark. You cannot Travel to Jabba's Palace from another starport - you have to go into orbit over Tat and go through the space station - but, you can Travel FROM the Palace to any other starport.

Oh, and if you need access to the palace without doing the themepark, i think i still have a "forged document" (loot) on my vendor that will let you in without completing the themepark missions (although theyre pretty easy, just time-consuming)! I dont have the wp handy, but my house is directly north of Mos Krayt shuttleport, past the PSYCH guild hall, and just outside the city limits. I only did the themepark to be able to wander around in there, and right after i finished it I looted that document.

I just tried the Corvette mission from Jabba's palace.... I die well. (and quickly)

I could land at Jabba's once I was directed to the Jabba's pilot trainer as a Smuggler's Alliance 2222 pilot. Even my non-smuggler dancer got access at SA Pilot 2222.

No...my dancer got access at SA pilot 2222...once I could land there I started the themepark. So you don't need access to the throne room to land a Jabba's...just SA pilot 2222.

I was just glad they added that in, because it was annoying as hell having to bike there all the way from the nearest city with a shuttleport...

Of course, they only added it in (or I only learned about it) after I had completed Tier 3....sigh...

Not true. I'm 1221 as a pilot and I got in.

So, what do we know so far as to landing at the palace?

1. You dont need to be finished 2nd tier on your piloting

2. You dont need to have access to the throne room

3. You dont need to be a smuggler

Maybe you do need access to the throne room, but you get it automatically when you finish tier 2 and have to see the trainer?

My other non-smuggler character did NOT have access to Jabba's as a landing spot till SA 2222.

When he got 2222 he could land there but had not even started the theme park and could NOT get past the inner door.

My Master Smuggler did the theme park long before JTL and was well past SA 2222 when they made Jabba's a landing spot so I can't say if being smuggler gave me that landing option or not.

OK, so now we know that you dont need access to the throne room to land.

It could still be Smuggler/Neut Pilot and/or Neut Pilot Tier2. I havent finished Tier 2 yet, and I dont remember seeing the option to land there before last week when I made Novice Smuggler.
