Thread: I don't know how much fight I have...
As for yourself, here are your choices:
(A)You can complain in the forums. You can post a response to this and other messages saying that it has already been tried. True. It's failed in the past because it wasn't coordinated enough. All efforts toward a Smuggler Revamp up to this point were a "good thing".
(B)You follow her lead. You call, email, whatever, whomever you need to contact. You stand in Coronet and /yell for your Smuggler Revamp. You fight in any legal way that you can.
Our motto must now become "E pluribus unum" (Out of Many, One). All Smugglers must act together in one concerted effort unlike all previous efforts. This must be done, and done now. We will continue in this pattern of neglect as long as we allow it to continue.
I'm choosing to fight alongside Veela. I'm going to do whatever I can to get SOE's attention, followed immediately by their love. Our suffering is real. Our place in line is at the head. We will get the Revamp. We will be told when (in terms of MM:YY) to expect the Smuggler Revamp. Simply that. Make your choice.
Thank you for reading this.

Veela has my support 110%.
I'll continue to be vocal here and push it as far as necessary...even to the point of being banned as I'm so close to quiting that if they do it for me I would honestly care less.
I wanted to get banned with the FD nerf, I think we all wanna be as cool as fish. He's such a bad, bad boy. ![]()
On a serious note we should still push for answers we should be upset, we have a right to be. But I think our anger is misplaced with this expansion and let me explain why. We have been beat down so long that now we are mad with every new pub that does not include smuggler and this makes sense but remember this expansion is a tie in to the new movie. It was put together for that reason and that reason alone and from a marketing point of view they would have been fools not to do it. If "sith" was not coming out in May we would have never seen this expansion it's a tool to drive people to buy the game and new "toys" for those who are still here. We need answers for sure we need to be revamped but this expansion was inevitable. If the new move focused on smugglers you better believe the would be Rage of the Smuggler and not Wookiee.

Oh I agree with you Yimaz but I don't necessarily agree that we should just sit and take it. - no, no I dont think we should take anything, we need answers based on all the other issues (FD for example) all Im saying is this expansion does not really fit into our issues because it was going to happen no matter what.
In some sense it is our own fault because over and over again we prove to them...hell, we even TELL them up front...that no matter how much they kick us and ignore us we'll continue to buy their product. -good point
Even the new movie...few that believe the new movie pushed us to the back of the line will actually boycott it. Probably wouldn't make enough of a difference even if we did. - I think this expansion has been in the works for a long long time and we were not pushed back just never moved forward.
Still, the point I'm trying to make is that they know we're pushovers, always have been and will continue to be. They have no economic insentive to give us the time of day and we've basically told them so over and over again. - we are not push overs we are a minority, a little fish in a big pond and yes it sucks but its the way it is. I would love to know what % of the games pop are actually smugglers.. I would say maybe 6%

The thing is... 'Smuggler' issues don't just affect Smugglers - the problem is much bigger than that, and has to do with the player<-->developer communication and the whole direction of the game. As I've already said, the character I play the most isn't a Smuggler anymore, but I'm still interested in the Underworld from a mercenary perspective, I still don't want to play Everquest, and I still want to play Star Wars. You know, the Star Wars from 30 years ago, with Boba instead of Jango, Vader instead of Anakin, Leia instead of Amidala, Stormtroopers instead of clone armies...things like that. Lots of the Smuggler issues raised in this forum since launch are pretty much the same as the Star Wars fan issues, the 'realism'/immersion crowd issues, the roleplayer issues etc.

I wonder what that part of that "maybe 6%" actually cares about actually smuggling and isn't just content with spices and slicing and selling fp...
Yep, see that just it. Letssay it is 6% of the pop that are smugglers. Now break it down to those of us on the forums and it drops to say 1.3%. Then take those of use who rightfully so are very vocal about how poorly we have been treated and I would guess that number to be about .003%. This is our problem and why boycotting expansions will simple not work. Many more people were upset about JTLbefore the CU and said they would boycott and it got no where.
Veela has the right and best idea. Media, one voice can sound like millions in medialand and if anything she is our best hopeat getting attention at this point. They dont pay attention to the forums, not enough people will boycott and we are a very small % of the games over all population. I know I sound defeated but its not ture its just the facts.
