Thread: So why was the post saying good bye to my profession deleted?
AngusMacGregor wrote:So was my thread asking Wes to let the Devs know how "un-thrilled" a lot of us were about the slicing changes.
I'll bet ya $10 it's because of a certain someone who's been applying a flamethrower to our forums lately. He got reported, they deleted the threads because it's easier. It happens all the time.
so was my post in the In Testing - Dev thread. but i reposted here because i think it's important that we let them know how dissappointed we are in a NON-flaming, NON-whining way.
i also asked for some feedback on the future of slicing. like is this it? or is there more to the story that we're not seeing?
But then that would be expecting too much, again.

Yep, they understand exactly what they're doing - Delete the dissenting posts and soon everything will die down and things will be happy for us. It worked with the CU debate ![]()

well we can give them feedback in other ways and other places. i guess they don't want to have all the slicing system feedback concentraited in one place? /shrug.

As much as I think that people throw the little things way outa whack, this 1984 reference is seriously funny.
There can be many reasons that a thread gets deleted...in some forums non-constructive posts might get taken out, especially flame-magnets. Might be something simpler. I'm not gonna say too much about you leavin', to each his own. Believe me, I'd love to see a better interface and more to slicing. I really don't like that it takes pistol and combat xp to gain in slicin' and spicin'. I think that Unarmed skill tree involved in Smuggler is a waste without more abilities tied with the pistol and fist without having to switch between the two. I think that scans are not a good enough reason to be careful with contraband. I want to be hunted by a Bounty Hunter. I think we should be able to assist Jedi with escaping the terms. (I'm a Master Smuggler/Master Bounty Hunter/Padawan by the way)
Now on the other hand I like that any Smuggler can slice weapons and armor and that it can be split up for more individual customizations. I like that if you try harder and get more equipment then you can get better slices. I even liked when they had the parts breakdown so that Smugglers aren't something you look for once then forget until you get a better weapon. Most of all I believe that they will tweak the system to make it better, they're jus' gettin' to the first step of a major change. Smugglers finally got a change and now the Smugglers are acting like Jedi. Let's give 'em a chance to make these changes.
Feel free to flame. I only read logical criticism anyways.
