I seen a guy at the starport once spamming that he was a Master Slicer,lol he was slicing for less too, I had just traded a weapon from a person wanting it sliced. He said he wanted it back, so I gave it too him unsliced. I told him I was a Master and had my title up. Needless to say he learned the skill tree that day he got a 14% damage slice on his LLC and I made sure he heard I just sliced a weapon and got a 32% damage slice on it. Luck of the draw. Just glade it was not that dreaded and embarassing 10% slice. hehe

You got it...

Plus...a REALLY long time ago, you could use the /setcurrenttitle (or some similar) command and change your title to anything you could imagine. That's why you'll come across a title that doesn't exist in the game, although it's a rare occurance. I've seen a few "Combat Smuggler" titles floating around from back when this bug was still an issue.

That bug was fixed in like Publish 2 or 3...but if you never changed your title, it'll stay that way forever...

If you never change it, you can keep it...

Though, if somebody asks you to prove you're a Smuggler, you can kiss it "buh bye"...

Exactly! When I start slicing again this is bound to come up. And thanks to scammers having the Master Smuggler badge is not proof enough.

it's true, you get that message when you drop a titled skill. And it goes away. But if you log off and log back on it reappears.

If i don't know the person who is slicing my stuff and he doesn't have a good reputation I always ask them to flash or deflash the tag.

Once, I had dropped the title for a day, and somebody contacted me by referral. Upon meeting, he requested that I show my title briefly.

I have three times total Max.

Just shows me they are an educated customer. I actually like it because I never have to explain slicing to them.
