To avoid hijacking this thread i have posted my reply to Nick in a new thread. I would like to say that its always sad to see someone leave, due to whatever reason, but i feel its wrong to blame a group or a proffession for it. The people to blame are the people who implemented the system, not the players who play within it.

Listen everyone. I just got out of a AIM conversation with Veela, who has persuaded me in some direction. She really is the master of persuasion.

I really hate saying goodbye to you all and stirring up the drama, but the winds of opportunity have changed once again.

Making the decision to quit and mustering the balls to say goodbye to you all has upset me a great deal and set me deep into sadness which is kindled now into a fire, the likes of which has altered what I will be doing with my future with SWG.

I have some good news, and some not-so-good news. The good news is that I won't be leaving the game. The not-so-good news is that I will be leaving the profession.

I hate to beat a cliche', but I'm going to rise like a pheonix out of this fire and rise as a Bounty Hunter.

I am never one to bend my actions to an angry will or a vendeta, but I think my time will be best spent hunting Jedi instead of Smuggling. There was no way for me to fit enough defenses, firepower, and healing into my template to do my job as a BH, so I had to drop the profession.

Add to that, leaving you guys bothered me to the extreme, and I'm sorry for upsetting you.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I will LOVE sticking around this damn forum.Even if I can't be a smuggler right now, answering life's needs at this moment by hunting Jedi will be enough

Even when I left Smuggler for a time, I was always welcome here. So feel free to stick around, you'll always be a smuggler to us.

And frankly, I say go Smuggler/BH. I've never met one that regretted having the CC(since they had to hunt jedi in a group anyway). It can be a powerful combo.

Hmm, this is the second post of this kind I've replied to in as many days. And, even with my own reservations about the game, yours is one of the names that I didn't think I'd ever see leaving or even "claiming" that he'd leave.

I still remember the old days...We didn't always see eye-to-eye, but there was never any doubt that you were down for the Smuggler's dirty drawers. Doesn't seem like a year ago when we were all "brain hurricaning" over GreenMarine's call to arms forSmuggler input.

Then again, it does *feel* like a long time ago. Hah.

As I wrote in Doc's thread, this game's not going anywhere as long as it has the magic "Star Wars" brand name on it. Hopefully, there'll be a time when you can enjoy it as you originally intended years ago.

You and I haven't always agreed Axob, but that's where it ended. It's a shame that other players can push someone to give up their chosen path.

Now if you were on Radiant, I'd tell you to look me up and I'd give you a hand in your new job.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. Nah not really, I've only been kinda glancing over the forums recently, they kinda gone down hill I hate this style and HTML nerfs

Well currently a Master Bounty hunter is as good at smuggling as a Master Smuggler. When that changes I know you'll be back. Good luck with your Jedi Purge and future indevers, and don't be a stranger, the BH and Jedi boards suck
