Thread: Slow way to add smuggler missions (not much coding per step)

You know, they already have code that can be used to do this, or close to it. I respec'd to MBH because it seemed a nice compliment to Smuggler (and I hope to hunt smugglers if they ever get added..actually in some of the NPC missions I get to hunt down NPC smugglers). And I started doing the NPC missions because it's a great supply of slicing tools.

All they have to do is combine the code they use for BH NPC missions with the code for Treasure Maps (because they spawn NPCs that attack you when you open them) and you would have a pretty workable smuggler mission system. All you would have to do is add an end NPC to take the shipment to and you have a pretty raw, but workable smuggling mission system.

The fact is they have code to give out missions that are close enough to be workable.
They have code for spawning aggressive NPCs while doing that mission, and they have code for NPCs to give you rewards for missions. Why they can't combine them and put smuggler missions is beyond me. Now, as much as I dislike the whole pander to the Jedi, I understand it's a substantial part of their customer base now. I understand the economics, but haven't they heard of a game called Grand Theft Auto? Don't they know it's a big money maker? It seems to me all we are asking for is the Star Wars equivalent of Grand Theft Auto, which would seem to me, has proved itself a genre people want to play.
