Ah ... now there's something to dream for ... that type of thing is exactly the type of thing that I'd love to see added to the game.

That'd be fun, I could chase smugglers around...

How about we allow Master Shipwrights to add hidden cargo holds? They only work in POB ships. You can open this compartment like a storage container of some kind, and you can put your stash in there, to help avoid detection. Only allow smuggling in POB ships. What if you are intercepted by some fighters, and you are actually boarded? NPC Stormtroopers or RSF Inspectors or someone actually APPEARS on your ship once they dock with you. They proceed to search the ship. If they find the cargo, they can fine you, take your stash, and then you get in trouble with the organization you were delivering for. Or you can have a shoot out. Even if you kill them all on your ship, you have to pilot your way past the other fighters. (They would attack as soon as you tried to pilot away, but because you killed a few on your ship, not as many ships would chase after you.)

You'd have a few choices there. Do you just fly away in space before they board you? Do you let them search, and hope they miss the cargo? Do you just wait for them to get on board to kill them? It would make a difference if you were a better pilot or more combat oriented on the ground.

And one wonders, what if someday you wind up using those hidden compartments to smuggle more than just contraband... a person, perhaps?

What if Jedi (or any profession that could be hunted by BHs, should any other profession get added to the terminals,) get "smuggled" in your cargo hold from one planet to another.

Would that lower visibility?

Perhaps one way for us to be useful to a community?

Besides, we would get money from Jedi.

Jedi money = More beer. More pie.

Of course, the smuggler should be able to attempt bribing or fast-talking the patrols or station.....
