I'd agree to this. I definitely wouldn't want my name on it though.
Think about it. Do you really somebody's Adv Composite Chest plate to read: "Effectiveness increased 11% by [Smuggler's Name]"? Would YOU go to that Smuggler for other slicing services if you read that and were educated enough to know that 11% is scraping the bottom of the barrel? First impressions are lasting impressions.
(I know any slice is a "good" slice. I'm just thinking from a customer perspective here.)

This is something that shouldn't be added to the game other wise the imperials would be after you

I'd rather slice a weapon and have the person who owns the weapon tell others....yeah ya like that gun eh?? well so and so built it for me and this smuggler sliced/modified it for me!! that too me holds more pride than just adding you name...

If you want your name on a weapon become a weaponsmith. Smuggler are performing an illegal activity and shouldn't want their names on it. It is bad enough that our names are on Spice. At least I assume they are I never really looked. But what drug dealer is going to have his name written on a bag of dope. What gun owner is going to leave an inscription "This shotgun sawed off by Bob"? I understand the pride thing, but I would rather see a notoriety meter which triggers BH visability in the Smuggler Revamp.

It would be funny if only other smugglers could see the name.

not much point to it though but the devs should have names saved somewhere for tracking.

when i worked with my smuggler on Lowca I always tagged it in the weapon name but unfortunately my former smuggler Tessiah gave it up when she got FS (not that i blame her SP is better used on something else when you're grinding XP) but if you go on Lowca and see one of my weapons it's always named "MBW weapon sliced by Tessiah" now sadly it's only "MBW Weapon" since i have to use random smugglers :'(
But it is supposed to be illegal and i don't know many people who do illegal things and leave their name on stuff...can you imagine buying a dimebag with "supplied by John Doe" on it, lol, i would laugh a good long time on that one (but i think people who slice deserve credit somehow)
