Yes, exactly, while I do not love the new tree name, it do prepare the ground for that tree to become something else than spice dealing.

Oh and riotcontrol: rflmao! You had me laugh out loud. So what would that make thoses of us who are master? Master Rather Naughty Person? lol

Delinquency is good in more ways than some of you think. While other things may sound nicer, this does do quite a bit of good for our future.

Unlike most ideas presented, it is not specific to a specific activity. The use of, for instance 'evasion' as given above basically limits the skill tree to those activities that gives skills along that line. Otherwise the skill tree makes little sense even by name. We could have kept it spices and done just as well if the name and it's content were not the same.

Dirty Fighting and Slicing indicate the activities that should be in those trees. It's very specific and allows those trees to have very little growth. Spices was exactly the same way. Of all the trees, Underworld was the only one that didn't tie down what exactly was supposed to be there. Now we have two trees accomplishing that.

So I accept delinquency without reservation. I think it bodes well for our future and allows for a great deal of growth.

Hmm... then I vote the profession title to be changed to "High School Drop-Out" instead of "Fence". Goes better.

Now is the best time to get the title for that name changed to "scruffy looking nerf herder"

Exactly Caylin. I've no idea what's planned for Smuggler after the changes that're proposed In Concept are implemented, but hopefully this indicates that not only will the repeated question "What will replace our spice tree/skills" is answered, but also that there will be further development in the future.

As for those of you not to happy about the name, its meaning is quite fitting; I can onlyassume that you arethinking of the frequently used term, 'juvenile delinquent', suffice to say, when used on its own, it doesn't mean the same

While I HATE the name (Just the way it rolls off the tounge), you do make a very good point Caylin... So, I guess I can live with it.

alright alright... point taken...you've convinced me!

i see now that we'll have the skills that can let us escape from combat (the "mezzing" skills)...

but i REALLY want them to include some "evasion" skills for when we have BHs after us. ESPECIALLY if they make it so Player BHs can hunt us (which i hope they do someday). it would be really nice to have skills that could throw their droids off track, or let us slice ourselves off the BH terminals. stuff like that would be very fitting for a "delinquent"!

A day later and i'm still meh

Its just too generic criminal feeling to me, and in a game where we have a problem with definition already I don't really see it as a huge step forward over "spices"

I like it, if for any reason then that it fits with the "deadbeat" points system we will eventually be getting by using this tree in any new smuggling for spice content. I would assume that the spices we will be able to get through the smuggling mini-game would still be limited by skill level, thus the need for the tree is still viable. However, by changing the name (as I had suspected they would as soon as I saw the spices tree in TC5) it allows them to keep the spices there, but justify the additional skills and mods, and allow for future implementation of the tree for new skills associated with smuggling content.

I agree the "juvinile delinquent" is a sterotype associated with just delinquent that we will have to try to overcome, but then again...in some cases it is appropriate Just kidding guys.

I suspect we may see more changes like this come down the pike as they progress through the CU and some smuggling content.

Change is good, but "delinquent" definitely has poor connotations. Let’s get a thesaurus and try to come up with some better suggestions. “Chicanery” is good not only for the definition, but because it makes me laugh whenever I read it.
