Just saw it, was not disappointed.

Although I would like to hear more about Kaylee and her batteries...

Heh, I knew there would be a thread about this movie here today. I first heard about the Firefly series here on this forum, ordered the DVD's from Amazon, and watched them, then later watched them again with my son when he was over on his weekend with me. Good show, liked it very much. ( 'course I been watching the first few DVD's again the last few nights while playing SWG to get prepared for the movie )

My 11 yr old sonlikes them too, and saw the ads for the movie before I did. Tonight at 6:20 Pac time we are gonna get to go see it!

That's the "if only" that's kept me smuggler through it all, I reckon.

But after seeing the movie, if they came up with a Firefly MMORPG, I'd probably drop SWG. Universal who released Serenity did have a space based online game called Earth and Beyond that I played a bit. It was fun. Be interesting if they did a Firefly one, they might actually do something nice.

Now I can proudly say I rank among those who have seen this excellent piece of cinematic engineering.

Fantastic movie, now I have to go buy the Series Box Set.


Side Note: Fox ALSO brought back family guy with phenomenal success

There is a P&P Serenity RPG. I don't necessarily think that an MMO version of Serenity would be VERY space based. Obviously it would be crap without space, but the protagonists of the show and movie fly round ina ship that doesn't even have weapons. So I doubt space would be as much of a factor as it should be in a Star Wars based MMO.

That being said, the space battle in Serenity was AMAZING. What little of it there was any way.

Saw it last night, totally awesome. Now if only the series would return....somewhere other than FOX.
