I now have MBH as a SUPPORT profession for Smuggler. If I was a BH and had SMuggler as a support profession I might care but I'd care on the BH board, not here.
I think the reasoning is along the lines of if the devs gave them this, they certainly will give into the jedis and nerf LD. It's not so much an issue of tracker droids no longer being useful on Kashy, but that nerf fortells the nerf of LD.
Kind of like a domino theory, I guess.
It's just a big mess, that the Devs are trying in a halfassed way to clean up. nothing to do with the jedi this time.
No I am only stating the Seeker Droid issue because its something Jedi have wanted for a long time. This will help the Jedi grind immensely and the Jedi population will prosper so long as they don't try to get to the Kachirho starport. Regardless, now they have a safe spot in any instance to hide in and grind. A BH will have a hard time getting to a Jedi if hes in Myyddril Caverns instance 7. Of which no BH will know if hes in the Ryatt Trail, the Avatar Space Platform, Hracca Glade....and what instance the Jedi will be in.
Regardless, I point this out because Jedi whining got it. They got the no PvE death exp loss. When have the Jedi ever lost an arguement? Thats why I say Last Ditch will be nerfed because the Jedi will always whine about something, get it, and move on to the next thing. They feel entitled to be gods because Jedi are powerful in the movies. Anything that stands in the way of their god power gets wiped out. The Devs will never nerf Jedi, but will always listen to the Jedi to nerf others. We are the next target with Last Ditch. Do you think I am overreacting here? I recall the Feign Death fiasco and I'm constantly fighting on the GCW board to try to keep some semblance of the war going even in the face of Jedi dominance. After the only Smuggler love has come in the CU and really who knows when the Smuggler revamp will see the light of day, for a profession that is better than all others at everything they do andhas more content than all others to whine constantly to destroy all other professions has just got me ticked off. Does anyone see where I'm coming from?
kash is a half baked planet, and as a result there are bugs everywhere with seemingly "normal" gameplay functions.
* Its 2/3 istanced so seeker droids were having issues outside of the common places anywhere.
* People are getting old man visits and meleche exit quests spawning in areas that nobody can get to.
* There is a full resource table spawning serverside for planet specific resources (florals, fiberplast, wind, etc.) but you can only hand sample them because the entire "planet" is a no build zone
I'm sure there are a pile of other issues being dug up but I haven't really tracked them.
The point being is that this most probably wasn't a give into jedi issue, as it was a quickest way to get from point a to point b issue and get something buggy off the table.
I agree with Ragnaat. Let's not jump to conclusions here.
Kashyyyk, being 75% instanced, is a nightmare for seekers. Until a mechanic can be implemented to encompass that, lets not assume that it is a conspiracy.
That doesn't mean let your guard down, either.

What did I tell you about Jedi whining? Now they have a whole planet to grind on without being tracked. I don't care whether or not the Devs had trouble with seeker droids on the planet or whatever, but the Jedi are rapidly becoming Profession #1 even to the Devs. Look at the last patch notes, no PvE death exp loss. They are just promoting the Jedi now, even with the fight club baloney and whatnot. Now I'm scared that Last Ditch will be for sure nerfed since the Jedi get everything handed to them. Lets go down taking as many Jedi with us as possible.
The tracking droids were turned off on that planet because of all the instanced areas that are there. It was basically to keep Jedi from griefing legitimate bounty hunters by moving from instanced areas and back again.

Sometimes, in my secret heart of hearts, I imagine that the when the Devs said that RotW was going to introduce Episode III content, they meant that there would be a wholesale slaughter of the Jedi until only a handful remain on each galaxy.

of corse the jedi whine and just like in real life the person who has the loudest most annoying voice always willget listened to. ANd i am 2 screwed professions in one commando and smuggler
I just wanted to share a real life instance of this happening. I'm a War of 1812 Re-enactor and my unit was just asked to perform a color guard at a big sporting event. Now I was in ROTC for 4 years and was the color guard commander for all 4 so I emailed a list of things we should be aware of and suggestions to all the other guys, as none of them had any exsperience in color guards. It somehow insulted one of the guys who does infact have the biggest mouth and now he's somehow incharge of orginization even though he has no idea what he's doing.
god I wish duels where still legal.

Eh. Be careful with that kind of speculation. Jedi do often get what they want with whining but hardly often enough to say thatbecause they got THIS one, they'll get what they want at our expense.
And, like was already said, this was a design problem, not a Jedi whining feature.
