Three things in a negitive way?

What the fu..

Do they devs think this prof not been shat on enough?

What the hell is the point of adding positive things if they will just turn around and nerf other things?

I think it would be unrealistic for us to expect there not to be atleast a few less than positive aspects of the revamp. I mean yeah it sucks, and sure we don't need more negatives, but maybe it would be best to hold back on getting upset about the negative vs. postive until the rest of us have some idea as to what these items actually are.

And Caylin - Don't worry I, and hope no one else, is gonna holdyou to that 2-3 negatives thing. I understand you are going off memory and not a specific detailed list.

Of course judgement needs to be held, I understand that, but it does not keep it from being frustrating.

And I doubt anyone here would hold Caylin responsible for what the devs do. Caylin is a great corr, but the devs do what they want to regardless.

Yeah man waiting blows, I truly am anxious to lay my eyes on those docs! Not that I'm gonna quit if I don't like what I see, but it may determine if I go ahead and sign up for my next 6 months, or cut back to month to month.

I just mean hold him responsible for his estimation of negative aspects to the revamp. I didn't want him to feel like we would all jump him and call him a liar if say later on there turned out to be 5 items that were a problem.

Hmmm... maybe it's an attempt for smuggler content? Like smuggle players into heavily-populated areas?

LOL.

Yeah, right.

Oh come on now... that's a joke right? I mean that they don't want protests is clear but now you can't even throw a party anymore or go to a wedding?? Hello??? Have you devs ever seen a relict raid in DAoC? Back when I played, it was possible that there were up to 600 people from 3 realms in the same place! Boy is there anything we are still allowed to do? Guess after the Combat Rebalance I have to send a ticket to ask if I'm allowed to get buffed...

Picture CSR toons with riot gear.

This does bring up a lot of questions tho. I understand the mass protesting for its own sake but parties and weddings?

Come on! I thought this was a MASSIVE multiplayer, not just players forced to be peppered about the landscape.

I guess it's not a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game anymore but a Crappy Multiplayer Become A Jedi Game now...

They are trying to make it sound like they aren't just banning it because of protesting, by adding the wedding part.

The amusing thing about this is only a week or so ago, Pex helped organise a mass battle on Lok on Chimaera... It killed the server Dead.Does that mean hes going to get banned?

Interesting.. given that mass-gatherings are a staple in virtually every other MMORPG, and adequately handled by their "technology shared by all massively multiplayer games." What fun would've EQ or UObeen without massive dragon-raids, or the huge battles in DAoC or AO? What about the GCW.. oh wait, we don't do that anymore.

-Zz (Ok, so 5-10 annoying protesters evenly distributed at every major starport. Policy-Circumvented.)

Ye gods! I was getting tired of the nerf bat bashing us so much! Now we have to contend with nukes?

Mass Gatherings Policy

Occasionally in Star Wars Galaxies, players gather together in
game for large-scale events such as parties, weddings or protests. With mass
gatherings of any type, we restrict the number of players gathering in any one
area to maintain the stability of the service.

Mass gatherings of players in a concentrated area are
problematic due to the underlying technology shared by all massively multiplayer
games. First and foremost, the technology of Star Wars Galaxies does not allow
for hundreds of players to gather in a single area of the world without
interfering with the play experience of all players in that area and potentially
disrupting the operation of the entire game world.

Large-scale gatherings that harm the experience of other players
are a violation of the game’s terms of service (TOS). If a large-scale gathering
occurs and a Customer Service Representative (CSR) requests that you leave the
area, please do so immediately. Failure to follow the requests of CSRs is also a
violation of the TOS. Any violation of the TOS can result in sanctions on your
account, including suspension of play privileges and/or cancellation of the
account.

We value our all of our customer's feedback and opinions, but
such feedback needs to presented in a way that doesn't interfere with your
fellow players’ game experience or the operation of the service. Your feedback
is most effective when it is constructive and routed to the appropriate channel
of communication.
