Thread: Which will come first? Smuggling or the New FRS?

That is the same sh!t I bought this time last year when we got our revamp pushed back and TRUE it is good business (money wise) to cater to the majority.
But it is dishonest (and some would argue fraudulent) to keep ANY of your customers hanging on a thread with promises of upgrading their profession while they PAY you to wait. That is very real and SOE has learned that lesson in lawsuits before.

You're preaching to the choir man, and like I said, I don't like it either. When it all boils down though, its about the money. I would absolutely love for someone to give them a kick in the butt with a lawsuit, but that EULA pretty much indemnifies them from everything short of a cancelled account. Basicly they have us by the short curlies and the only options we have are a)pay and wait and b) not pay and wait. Its a deplorable business practice, but its not illegal (infact I think we actually endorse it everytime we press that "I agree" button).

EXTRA REALITY: (And by the way, this isn't meant as an insult oranything Chem, just more thoughts on the subject)
More players are currently non-jedi than jedi. Many players don't care if their profession gets attention immediately, they just want to see things happening for some profession other than Jedi or BH. I was personally very pleased to see the recent additions to the Ent and CH professions, and very upset to see that BH's were getting better loot (and slicing loot) from their marks. The point is, most people just want to see the entire game improve, not just their ownprofession. I think that most of the players out there are fine with getting in line and waiting their turn. When we see that one or two classes are getting all of the focus, we are naturally gonna get peaved.
If SOE loses all of their non-jedi (and non-BH) accounts, they aren't going to have much of a business left.

And on a side note: I personally think they are heavily debating introducing Bounties on the player base and the consequences thereof- This might be the reason for the delay in our missions.
Ok sidetracking here a bit but I have a question about the fan fest statement. Is that REAL or some urban legend? I ask because all I see is "they" and "one of us". Wich Dev said it? To WHO of us? I would love to know.
To answer your question, I hope Smuggling, I fear FRS. Btw, I hope your thoughts are right on bounties! Now that's a reason I could live with for the silence, delay , and removal of the In Concept thread

At this point I dont think the New Smuggler system is even in "concept" any more I think they scrapped it and have no immediate plans to revist it

SOE just needs to tell BHs and Jedi to sit down, shut up, F**k off, and grow up.
It's safe to say imo, that EVERY profession, except Jedi and BH has problems, bugs and is just flat out useless now.
With today's Super Lawyers you could sue SOE for pain and suffering and win.
And there is probally some crazy insanse loop hole that can be exploited to bankrupt SOE (A Bunkrupt SOE would be the best thing to happen since sliced bread. All the crappy Devs out of jobs dying on the streets while their children cry, thank god.)
Untill then FRS atleast 5 years before Smuggler gets anything.

Down Hotdog, down, I am not attacking Veela. lol
I asked who was the Dev and who was "one of us" and you answered. I have no trouble believing Veela. Just never saw any names before you answered me (true that I have been offline for a while so might have missed it.) so had no idea it was her.
I know there was a bad story a while back about some not believing her so gonna forgive your protectiveness.
