Did you seriously think after all this time that we were still getting a revamp, especially after GM left? Rule number one, never ever believe anything a MMO developer says until it happens. There's just so much that can happen between "in development" and "in live" that you never know what's really going to happen until it's in the game.

Don't give me that "softly got us nowhere" crap either. Since I started this game back in2004 smugglers have been complaining nonstop. I figured it out within 6 months time that a revamp was never going to happen all at once, I'm sure most of you are smart enough to figure it out as well even though you don't want to admit it.

Yeah, I'm not here to argue. GL finding somethign fun. I seem to bounce back and forth between SWG and Planetside, even though I know how SOE is... lol.

Yeah, I'm sort of stuck. SWG was my first real online game.

I'm aStar Wars fan. That's what made SWG the game for me. It's justa shame the Producers have such a glaringly different vision of what Star Wars is about from mine.

I'm thinking I'll watch the LOTR game from afar and maybe jump to that when it's released, if I can get past my initial rejection of all anything with wizards and goblins etc

Um, as a player that beta tested AC2 and played it for a good year or so past release.... I'd recommend staying away from Turbine games. They are even worse than SOE as far as putting out unfinished MMO's. At least read reviews of it before trying it. AC2 is just now reaching what I would call "ready for release" 3 years after it first came out. Even at that, it's still pretty low content-wise. People like to say that SWG has little content... but it has tons more than any other MMO I've tried.

Now the combat - that's something that Turbine does know how to make fun, at least on the PvE side. PvP, as in most MMO's is totally level based in their games. I will say this... if you like an endless level grind, Turbine has the games for you.

Do you like FPS games? If so give Planetside a try. It is a fun game, it just gets old after a while. Hopefully somebody can come up with a FPS based Star Wars MMO sometime, now that would be cool. SOE has stated they have an un-announced MMO in the works... you never know what that might turn out to be.

It's too bad that Blizzard decided to go the orcs and dorks MMO first, as I really think they could come up with some unique things if they decide to put out something more StarCraft based.

Hey Iawo,

We'll see how much you know when the new, not so small FRS system gets put into the game before smuggling. Then we'll see just how far asking for smaller things gets us.

Acouple things to note:

Smuggling = Revamp. Doesn't matter how big or small it is, it still comes down to that. That's what we're asking for. Nothing else. Nothing else matters.

This is nothing more than anything we've gone through in the past. I was hoping it would be a little different this time, but the only thing different is that they're not gonna try and tell us soon anymore. We're last in line behind server shut down like we've always been.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Iawo, before you start congratulating yourself on advice well administered, consider that only now have we got an answer, after years of playing nicely, making proposals, requesting informaiton etc etc

Why would that be?

Could it be the fact that the Vets who have now cancelled decided to make a last stand, a coupld of weks ago? SpinningCloud, Angus, Veela all quit and went down in a blaze of glory. We gave the Devs a roasting, which precipitated more Dev posting here which finally lead to JFreeman finally putting us out of our misery.

Pissing and complaining got us the truth.

Continuing to ask nicely for anything would have got us soon™

For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Didn't I say a week or two ago that pissing and complaining for a revamp wasn't getting us anywhere so we need to start asking for little things?
