We should get our own terminal just like bounty hunters.. they get to go after marks.. why cant we do delivery missions while being attacked by npc's.

The slicing into bank accounts is interesting.. it would have to be npc's bank accounts and would put you on the bh terminal but it would be a neat idea.

I've always wondered why we didn't have our own terminals.

I really don't like some people desire to make smugglers some kind of theiving rogue, and I've seen it posted quite a bit on this forum.

Let our smuggler use a sword, let us steal speeders, let us rob banks..... all real requests from this forum...

This is not NeverWinter Nights guys... if you want to run around with your poison rapier.. go play something else...

Smugglers = smuggling

we are not drug dealers, we are not crafters.. although we tinker.. much different....

we should be tough in a fight, and sneaky.... and I don't think SOE has figured out how to implement this yet..

but the last thing we need is people begging for smugglers to become the be all of the criminal class

my 2 cents

Not all Smugglers are thieves.

Pssst.... != means "does NOT equal." Therefore "Smuggler != thieves;" translates to "Smugglers are not thieves."

Actually I would prefer a special skill for Smugglers in space to be this:

call it something like Trojan Horse: Ability of the Smuggler to purchase and fly any ship from a different faction. The ship would cost double the normal amount and upkeep would also be doubled. While the Smuggler is in the 'hijacked' ship he would not be able to engage in any PvP/PvE with the same faction the ship he is currently flying is affiliated with. Likewise his ship may be susceptible to attack by ships from his own faction. ( ahhhh there is no fire like friendly fire). The purpose of this skill would be to allow a Smuggler to cross enemy held territory more easily. ( more for RP and fun that actual PvP /PvE effect).

Also, the idea for dual faction affiliation is novel. Unfortunately, the only way it could work would be for PvE only. The potential griefer effect would be way to high if PvP'ers could play on both sides simultaneously.

What does everyone think of this? I think it would be cool if the smuggler profession (at underworld 4 or master smug, master smuggler prefferebly) gained the ability to join both factions at the same time? I doubt this would actually work out though and will probably never see it in the game but I was just wondering what other people thought about this.

I would go with a "light freighter certification" for smugglers. any freighter type can be piloted by the smuggler (3 freighters, what where THEY thinking?)

We couldn't play SWG without Tiggs. Now we can =)

like that idea. only problem is, you wouldn't be able to go overt. or if you could i can't see how it would work. LOL. what about if they made it so you're neutral, but can attack either faction. lets you interact with either faction (gaining faction points and such) but lets you not commit to either side (as any true smuggler would). when you attack either faction you gain a temp enemy flag, but maybe it lasts longer than on any other character. won't happen tho. LOL
