Hey, did you notice that crap that Lucas said in the artical about how star wars was always about the story of Darth Vader? And how he never ever imagined anything would happen after ROTJ?

I've heard of revisionist memories, but that's just silly. He said back-in-the-day that he had pictured a 9-episode series starting and that he started in the middle... He also said that right up until the actual filming of the ESB scene where Vader says he's Luke's dad, that no one knew it was to be so. In fact, I guarantee that when he wrote the original SW movie he never pictured ANY other movies.

Don't get me wrong... Darth Vader is one bad dude (even if Anakin is a whiney baby)... but the story was SO not about him from the beginning. The story was about Luke when Star Wars was written. Eps 1-3 were totally written on the fly. There's no way that crap in Eps 1 & 2 were pre-planned for decades.

Who's he tryin' to fool here?

Actually... he always maintained it was the story of the Skywalker family. Look at any early interviews with Mark about how he wanted to get the role of Han Solo, but he couldn't complain because he got the role of Luke, and the story was about the Skywalkers.

As for 9 movies... I always remember that being the case, but I never knew where the info came from.

Anyone else thinking the new TV series is gonna be about the early days of Han and Chewie? It would be kind of funny to have another Harrison Ford: The Early Years, TV show based on a movie character of his.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

/sigh, well, the Devs have already outright denied that that's real, so if it is, they have literally lied straight to our faces...

But I put it up there with the, "here's LA's address, write them" threads.

It doesn't exist, cause Xbox360 is scheduled for Xmas, so they wouldn't release a title that is a time investment like SWG on a dieing platform.

I wouldn't blame the Dev's, unfortunitly I have never know a developer that wasn't told what to work on by someone who knows nothing about the product. rotten marketing flunkies are to blame...

'tis not to be .

"Lucas said the live-action series is the more ambitious undertaking, attempting to translate the magic of the Star Wars universe to the small screen via supporting characters that fans have only briefly come to know from the movies." Clickity

I was hoping for a Space Above and Beyond style Xwing squardon series, but alas, that is not to be either.

Sounds to me it'll be more like a televised "Star Wars Tales"

In fact, I'd lay down money it'll be that.

Basically, a live-action version of those "Tales from the Cantina" and "Tales from Jabba's Palace" anthologies. You wait.
