Thread: What have you done ingame to improve smuggler content?
(emotionless) [Always wearing my voicemodulating compo] "My weapons need a little *fixing*, the output is a bit low." [That is in open areas]
In cantinas or deserted areas I am more direct and ask for modding my weapon over the edge.
There is no cheering, I nod. That is all how I comment a (good) slice.
Hearing the words: (emotionless)"I might consider your work again." *walks off*
should be read as
"WOW. Great work, I come to you next time.", but that wouldnt fit into the character of the badass BH, aint it?
Similar with my bountys on Jedi, if they have to loose something at least I should give them some RP.
"You have been found guilty of killing a farming family an Naboo, I am here to take out the order of excecution."
where my first words on my first jedi bounty. A few minutes later i got my a$$ handed to the clone center, but well...
I still have to find one who plays along and doesnt talk in game terms...

Well, Jag, i think I can speak for all Smugglers when I say that we love it when we get clients that RP with us. Most Smugglers that I know do it for the love, and part of what we love is the mystique. So, thank you, for putting in the extra time to make it fun for us. Nothing wrose than slicing for a guy whos like "Dood r u done yet" "Get good slices." When we are RPing, it is our attempt, sad as it may be, to make smuggling at least SEEM illegal and shady. The BH's and the Smugglers have always been the best Rp'ers... it'll be great when you all can get bounties on us. And if you think traking down a jedi is hard.......
Things I do to spread tha love:
Like others, I make liberal use of "/nod"
All women are known as "sister" and get /winked at. I like winking at them at a shuttleport and then quickly hopping shuttle before they can respond.
Newbies are always "Kid".. One time a new player came up to me and said "You are a slicer.. are you any good?" I said "What, you've never heard of me?" "No" "I'm the best in the galaxy kid." This Master Swordsman next time /tells me with alol.
I do my best to HUSTLE when ever i can. In fact, Hustler needs to be the new title to replace "Fence". By hustling, I mean, well...you know... There was Han... but there was also Lando....
I created a smuggler ring- so there is a small band of smugglers who work together to get things done.
We have a safe house that has all kinds of smuggler tools at our disposal AND there are some locked containers there- (more and more keep getting added which is cool).
I invented "Corellian Craps" a casino game that can be played with SWGs existing mechanics- but I haven't tested it yet 'cause I've been adventuring.
I desperately want to creat one or two smuggler runs for the sole purpose of having people sign up to smuggle things and be hunted while doing so. Once I figure out an easy way to carry this job out I'll do it.
That's about it on my end- with the exception of RPing (giving secret handshakes to fellow smuggler's, not wearning my sig, etc).
Oh yeah, and I have a macro that I use when I loot my victims:
/loot
/whisper Yoink!
There's a corrogated metal roof propped up over a table with a couple of chairs and a toolchest. The table has some items on it.

Thanks Nicolas. It's a wonder how many of us smugglers come from Corellia huh?
Renn's not from Corellia. His parents were Corporate slaves to Kuat Drive Yards on Xa'Fel. His mother escaped, ending up on Nar Shadda where Renn met a smuggler and took up the profession. He moved to Corellia when business got good.
I've got Renn's full back story written up if anyone's interested.
Never said all of them were.
By the way, while my character was born and bredon Corellia, he was raised in the verticle city. Maybe our characters met somewhere along the line. ![]()
do we have anything to smuggle.
And until we have spaceships, smuggling is more like shop lifting. Sticking something under your coat and walking real fast.

LOL!
Yeah, I tend to /emote things like "Misume eyedarts and pretends like she isn't doing anything illegal" and /whisper "Good luck, watch out for Imperial patrols" when I hand weapons back
