Excellent idea, my only concern is can't some crafteres change the color of the description. If this is the case we'll have to choose a color they can't use.

You actually expect people to inspect thier gear, Draevyn?

Itwould be nice if they did butI don't actually expect it. Seeing the items show up in a different color would be a better visual cue in my opinion. The message is good for vendors but simply looking at an item in inventory and seeing the "sliced" state would be a good change.

This is why, before I accept the trade, I inspect everything in the trade window.

The color coding is a good "near idiot proof" was to prevent characters from giving you previously sliced weapons I must agree. That being said...are you nuts. Take the weapon ("slice it") give it back and take their creds. Being honest here looses the opportunity at thousands, hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of creds here...it adds up.

"Wow that was fast." one customer.

"You're good." another customer.

Now I know what your thinking. They'll notice the numbers haven't changed. Ask for it back say it was a bug or something. Then slip a powerup on it and then tell them it was a damage slice. They look at the increase in the numbers and are satisfied...well until 100 uses later.

C'mon people work with me here we're (criminals) smugglers not friggin boy scouts.

"While you can examine items in the trade window - it can be hard enough keeping that window open without spending more time going thru the person's items...and then explaining to them WHY you cancelled trade etc etc "

Thats something i'd forgotten to ask about all the while ive been slicing. I often get the trade bug window in which the trade is automatically cancelled with my customer. Naturally, im used to it, and i assume its due to a macro, but when it occurs, most of my customers mumble "**edit**?".

Could it perhaps be something on my end? I dont utilise a macro while slicing, and some of my customers confirm that they dont at the time of trade either. Yet the trade window simply shuts down repeatedly and it takes a dozen tries to transfer the items. What's the cause of this?

(Dont hurry with a response. I quit slicing for the public post-pub 10. :smileyvery-happy

My toon might be a crook, but I am not and I would never take anyones cash for a job I didnt do.

Hell, ever considered they could be testing you to see if you are honest?

People look for me, travel to me and hand over scythes, hacks, krayt weapons DE-10 etc safe in the knowledge that I am an honest player. I prefer it that way.
