Hopefully your idiocy will get you banned for harassment soon.

I have no idea what rock you've been living under, but Caylin has been an awesome correspondant.

Take your heresy elsewhere, it's not wanted in the Smuggler Community.

I'm not gonna get into this with you but suffice it to say that 99% of the smuggler community respects Caylin for his dedication. It saddens me that you do noit share this but you are entitled to your own thoughts

Ok, correspondent history time.

First Round

It came down mostly between SanTsu and TK608 as far as public opinion.

  • TK608 -Made various problem lists, put up a smuggler based resource site with forums and collected a great deal of information. (My personal favorite)

  • SanTsu - Popular with the masses. He was selected as the Smuggler Correspondent.

SanTsu started out strong, getting us feign death fixes that were neededand tried to bring attention to Smuggler problems as he could.

How it ended:

The Imperial Crackdown presented a crisis to the smuggler community. Imperial faction members were receiving get out of jail free cards based on their rank, when carrying illegal items. Something not even a Master Smuggler was capable of doing. We asked SanTsu what he was doing about it and he decided to support it instead of protect the smugglers' future.

ElectricNomad, Solo4114, JTGAlpha and myself took the opposite stance. Using detailed posts and examples we did our best to show how this change was not good for our future as smugglers. Many others were with us every step of the way and are no less important. The four of us were just the most prominant. As time progressed, SanTsu named us the four horsemen of the apocalypse in a snide comment saying we were bringing the community down with our posts.

He later started calling us the pony ridersafter the effort was made to turn the horsemen into a position of strength. A position I'm proud of to this day.

SanTsu started getting a few performance reviews. I admit, I was the one doing the most worktowards that end because I no longer had any respect for him. SanTsu eventually lost his temper, started unstickying all the helpful posts on the forum and left in a fashion that I'll only say wasn't mature. Through a fluke in the forum system several of us gained access to the correspondent forums. We started saving every post we could that SanTsu ever made and came to the conclusion he really didn't do jack to represent us when we needed him to. He started out just fine, doing what he could but the latest episode just showed how much had changed.

SanTsu posted his resignation later. There was some rejoicing and a few farewells. He later came back to call many of us pimples on his assandthat didn't exactly improve things.

Duration: Aboutsix months.

Second Round

Thunderheart decided to select a correspondent without giving many of us a chance to apply. He ignored the way other correspondents were told to send their application in the past and went with LodekDall. LodekDall apparently submitted his application letter without waiting for Thunderheart to tell us to do so.

LodekDall was a previous unknown factor the community didn't really know anything about. He did possess some strong organizational skills though and used them toward our benefit. He assigned a team of community members to help him represent our community as well as he could.

How It Ended:

Sadly he wasn't with us for long as a job opportunity led him to submit his resignation. He did a great job as far as many of us were concerned.

Duration: Abouttwo months if that.

Third Round

Well, Thunderheart took applications publically this time around. So the community all had a chance to apply. You all ended up with Smuggler_Caylin. Several thought I wasn't up to the task. Terms such as 'Uncomprimising' and 'Wrong too often' come to mind. I'll let someone else decide write up my performance review.

Duration: Close to six months I think.

If I'm wrong in this, you can write your own POV.

My opinion is definitely not short-sighted. Some of you just have a hard time with reality. 1 year of no positivechanges is totally, completely non-effective. I will apologize for sounding too harsh, in light of Caylin sincerity. However I will not stand to think for one second that this class has been improved apon since release. And I know I speak for others who just do not wish to say it. And many of us have been with this class since beta.

one qick qustion, how long have you been a smuggler?Didn't see you here when i was dhorse rp around w/ yimaz in the smuggler den. Also, there had been bunch of changes for the smuggler in the past. By the way, don't group the good peeps here with your kind, you ungreatful dumb @$$

The response against someone flaming our beloved retiring corrspondant should show you we are already as together as a profession can get I for one stand by my fellow smugglers. And always will...

PaulyX --

Your first post:

Don't know why Caylin leaving would be considered a bad thing - its been a long time and nothing has been done for smuggler. So in light of progress Caylin has done nothing to better the profession.

Your second post:

If your point really was to b*tch about the manner in which SOE manages the community and the SWG product, then YOU failed to make that point in your first post. Re-read it. You mention CAYLIN only. You do not make any other point to be seen.

However, it seems to me (after reading all of your posts in this thread) that you are just a troll. "Neener neener" kinda cinched it. LOL.

So fellow smugglers, ignore him. He will likely take his trolling elsewhere.

I agree, and good riddance, the smuggler forums are a place of sanctity and unity in the most close knit profession I have ever seen (also my first ever mastered profession), and are not a place for trolling. Caylin has for what I have seen been the most active corrspondant I could imagine. And I for one am sorry to see him go before the revamp comes since alot of the changes wrought probably came from things he filtered to them from us. So just because SOE doesn't listen doesn't mean he didn't speak.

Ok I haven't posted a lot on this forum, or any for that matter, but I've read and been helped by much on here.

That being said I think the majority of the posts in this thread show that we really do plan to stick together and keep working to better the smuggler community, which was the point after all.

Negative thoughts about it are fine, but I find it much more useful to live and work in the hopes of a wonderful revamp.

My 2 cents....

What are you babbling about? For a second there I thought you were talking about a system that works, but earlier you conceded that there were no results.

I felt you were after tangible results in the game due to my interaction with the developers on behalf of the smugglers.

I can't really think of any, so thats where I agree that no results are seen.

Yet many other changes have occurred to other areas of the game that do not revolve around smugglers butbased on correspondent feedback and this game is much better because of it.

What are you? an idiots?

Caylin have done a great job with smuggler. He had clear out misconception with slice, he brought GM, a freaking DEV into our board, try to see that in CH board. He hold the community together in peace, look at CH board, all the key member had been banned, Caylin didn't let that happen.

Open your eyes, and look around you. This profession is one of the most neglected profession by the Dev so far (I said so far,) and Caylin had done an awsome job (almost next to impossible) of keeping us still playing as Smuggler. In a way, he had open the Pandora box and give us hope, and he just do all that he can, with whatever that is available to him to keep our anger down and unite this community.

What? You think you can do a better job? Grow up son, stop giving the speech "He's not good enough, about time to get another one"
