Interesting thing about my slices are that I tend to get really good ones for myself, and crap for any paying customer.

I have this one steady customer, who keeps coming back I'm sure because she knows a 35% damage is gonna happen soon. I have sliced 20 weapons for her so far, from krayt rifles to extremely nice Tenloss. I've gotten a few over 30% and most in the high 20s. But every single slice has been speed.

For myself however, I sliced a gaffi for 35% damage, another for 33% damage, and a Vk that i was hoping for speed for my alt to get some TK I got a 35% speed. It doesn't matter where I slice, the condition I'm in, armored or not, high BF or not. I got the 35% gaffi slice riding on my swoop on Dantooine.

Personally, I like it being random, as much of a pain as it is, if it becomes less random, the economy would take a hit from less crafting going on. And if it became non-permanent, we'd be slice-monkeys, and who wants to do that.

As for the MWS/M Smugglers, all I can say is sorry, you make such disgustingly huge amounts on your well sliced stuff, it easily offsets anywork or credits you have invested. Not being harsh there, that's just a fact, my alt is grinding WS now. Personally, I enjoy buying unsliced stuff. I got a couple hammers for a MSword friend of mine for 4k each. got a 35% speed on one (shrug) and 33% damage on the other. The only thing I buy sliced is armor, cause effect sliced armor is useless to me, and who wants to resell that.

I used to find comfort in the fact that I could have 1000 battlefatigue, massive wounds, poor clothing, crappy weapons equiped, 2 year old, unwashed white boxers on, slicing tools so crappy they look like space junk, and STILL pull off a good slice

rflmao Axob. The good side of the "slicing is random" thing.

Sometimes I like to hold down the 3 key on my numberpad and spin around whenever I slice any krayted weapons.

This thread is hilarioius lol

Ok so my own thing is that I hate slicing in armor or in my flightsuit. I slice in my business suit. Spec Op black duster, black pants, black dress shirt, black hide boots, and a sapphire medalion.

Not exactly a superstition, more like the roleplayer in me, who just find weird to slice in full composite, or in a flightsuit (specially slicing for an Imperial wearing a RebeL flighsuit. Might work for both side, but there is something to be said about a little discretion.......)

How cool would it be if slicing in an alleyway, or in the backrooms of a cantina got your slice chances better?

The only superstition I have when slicing is when the customer mentions what they want.

If they want damage, the slicing gods hear it and dish out a 16% Speed slice.

As soon as they say anything about what they want, I trade the weapon/armor back.

I politely tell them that they have angered the slicing gods and to find another smuggler to jinx.
