Thread: Slicing Loot Will Now Stack
Unfortunately the stacking isn't retroactive (at least it wasn't when we were told of it), but at least from now on components won't clog up more space than they need to.
So... does that basically count as just half a fix?
*smirk*
My first reaction was: "oh great, now if only I could find a way to shoot these krayts in the first place..." but to be fair, it is an improvement, even though the real problem lieswith all those kits already converted, not the loads of loot we get on a daily base.

Is there any limit to stacks of items in game?
Not being someone who uses stacks alot are they like crates in that they count as one item?
Usually there is a stacking limits but have no clue what it will be here, since it vary.
I guess it count as one because I once had 3k copper on me and obviously my inventory do not support 3k objects. But for this specific case, would have to test to be sure.

Yeah, I figured as much. Better than the new stuff not stacking though. I'll bet the first bug associated with this will be that if the components are stacked, slicing an item will consume the entire stack. I can see it now.
This is all well and good, but will current tools stack, or will this be like the AS components and only items looted AFTER the patch will stack?
Kinda important to know, IMO.

You mean instead of 50 simple toolkits I get a stack...
YAY!

It also means i can take down 2 houses full of slicing gear and clear out stuff my guilds merchant is storing for me. A tiny bit of Smuggler love still not Smuggling tho.
No sir, you will need to keep those houses. This change will only apply to stuff that gets looted after the patch. Anything in your possession beforehand won't stack.

At best, this is an gross oversight by the devs. At worst, it is a blatant attempt to thumb their noses at us.
