Thread: Armor Slice question

I'm sorry. What did I do other than say 'Read the FAQ" and 'Ah, that felt good'
The first was direction to the FAQ, where they would find, in the very first section, exactly the information that someone else copied and pasted. The second was a joke, that other people will get, and laugh at.
For that you said I was flaming, which, being a negative insulting term, could be considered flaming in itself.
And now you're calling me a liar, when anyone can simply scroll up and see exactly what I said. So how can I be lieing?
Now, for your questions, which apparently I need to answer otherwise you'll just assume I secretly agree with you:
what felt good about it? Pent up desire to say it finally released.
That you're the 8 millionth person to flame someone for asking a question? Already stated that I didn't flame.
Or was it that you finally were able to be the first person to flame a question like this? Oh no. I've been first to 'flame' many a time, trust me. Speed means very little
Or, is it just fun to act like everyone else? No. But its funny when everyone else acts like me.
First of all I see you got yourself an original "QFE" from someonewho has a personal vendetta against myself. I wouldn't take it as a compliment to your post.

Darlin, I never said I was polite. I said I didn't flame.
flame - To write angry or insulting words about a person.
Now my words may have been big and red to be 'loud', but they were hardly angry, and in no way insulting.
I could go into another long post refuting every one of you points, but as the workday is over now, I have an MMORPG to play. But if you'd like to continue the argument, feel free, I'll get back with you on it tomorrow morning.
I posted the original post because I wanted to. No other reason than it brought me pleasure to do so. Not to 'fit in' with the 'other thugs.' I already know I fit in with them, I don't need to pull any lame stunts to impress them. Or you sweetcheeks. I post here just for fun.
Jaim, thanks again.
Well you're definitely entitled to non-flame unpolitely. For some reason you felt it necessary to reply to my original post in this thread, three seemingly difficult questions (which somehow you interpret as flaming) as being insulting.Guilty ones usually respond in like manner.
PS: Jaim is there for you with his'QFE's whenever you need 'em.I'll be sure and let him know when I start a conversation with you so that you have that 'support'.
What is this exactly? Some new novice politician thing of kissing newbies as opposed to kissing babies?
In my original incarnation I once had my backside severely swatted for asking something without reading the FAQ first.
Once.
I learned my lesson and checked the FAQ from then on before bothering to question things. Nothing remotely wrong with that, I can get my feelings hurt (I recall flushing a bit actually) but c'mon! Answering a question like this will just lead to more of this kind of thing.
Yes, a new person to the forumns might not have ANY clue about reading FAQ's before posting questions.
Yes, the second post could have easily been a bit more diplomatic.
No, it didn't NEED to be. Saying in what boils down to an exasperated tone 'READ THE FAQ!' isn't a flame. Nor was the followup about it feeling good considering how often this sort of thing crops on up the forum.

So let me get this straight. Are you publicly declaring that you wouldn't have gotten the hint if someone would have politely pointed you to the FAQ? Do you really want that reputation? If you'd like, we can make an announcement to everyone: If Wraith-X asks for some information, he won't understand unless you make him cry?!?

Me? I'd just have recommended a speed slice so they could dodge faster.
On the other hand, the smuggler forum has a long and proud tradition of flaming innocent people who walk in here and ask stupid questions that have either been covered in the stickies/FAQ or have been discussed to the point of torture in countless other posts.
If you don't like it, perhaps you'd be more at home here.

Hey, if it makes you happy, go for it. Obviously this person didn't exactly read the entire thread, nor do most people.
Starting a discussion about why people choose to flame isn't something for all of you to get bent out of shape. Maybe a nap is in order....![]()

I would have gotten the hint just fine...
So you gave a lame excuse and you just admitted it. End of story.
You, like others, are unable to remain on the topic. The rest of your post was you just trying to save face after being proved wrong. I'm done with this discussion.
