Just so you don't wonder why it is not working for you hehehe

I don't even normally visit the home page. I usually go right to the Flurry forums for the flaming.

Howdy ho, got back to SWG today after some months in the lands of Everquest 2. Gonna dust off my smuggler on Bria now and was wondering if the prices on FP's droppedwhen they removed the cap? I know you could make some nice cash on 'em before, but think many smugglers didn't care to sell FP's beforecuz of the old, stupid system.

The cost to buy FPs didn't dropped, that I know of.

How much Smugglers charge might, if there is more competition.

You need to have 6 months of continous, in active service. I can't explain it...um....like, you have to have had your 6 months continuously since your reactivated your account. So, back to like August or something. Your previous 6 months of service is erased and you have to start over again.

That's wrong

Hmm....ok. Wouldn't have been the first time. I knew it was 6 months of active service and from what I had heard other people say, it was a reward for continuing tosticki with the game. /shrug

The lack of ability to pull from crates was a nasty surprise for me since I need to grind slicing xp again.

So those six months of activity I had before my account ran out are completely useless going toward my ship?

Correct. Your account is still at 4/12/04 but all your rewards and "startin date" is brand new.

wrong? this was on the front page "The Veteran Rewards System will always operate off your original Star Wars Galaxies subscription date."

Yes and no - the new vet rewards system(the free resources, decorative terminals, non-decay kit, etc.) does carry on if subscription lapses, but the yacht works on a different system that does require 6 months uninterrupted subcription (although I believe there's a few days of a "grace period" allowed, toaccount for billing problems etc.)

There are other differences between the schemes - every character on a qualifying account can have a yacht, but the new vet rewards are only once eachper account. Plus the yacht is non-tradable, but the new vet rewards can be traded.

Confused? You will be...

That's funny because I tried it out live and bought a bunch of faction over what should have been a 500 point cap. The options had changed, too. I could buy in amounts up to 100K credits worth of faction. I think it went live a couple days ago.

I dunno about the yacht. I played for five months, quit for about six months, came back about four before JTL, and got my yacht the day JTL was released. Seems like it's either all counted from your original subscription date or based on total months spent paying, no matter the breaks between them.

Right now it's from original. The site even says that, and I guess if you had the yacht the day of release, it never was 6 consecutive months.
