Spice crafting: Experimentation does nothing for spice crafting. The only thing we can change is... flavor. Big deal!

Prerequisits:Unarmed Specialist is made mandatory for becoming a Novice Smuggler, even though your smuggler will never have to use it again. Remuve unarmed and replace it with Engineering and/or Business.

Overall, Smuggler profession feels very half-baked. Master Smuggler box don't even have any new mods and/or schematics.







dont fool yourself, devs arent busy with other things....just too laz to bring new ideas to the table...too worried about how theyre gunna spend their next paycheck that we paid into. Come to think of it, playing this game is like paying taxes. You give and give and give...and get nothing in return

Yeah, this could pretty much have been the entire smuggler forum and nothing would be different. Though it's nice to have a dozen daily complaint threads to work my rage out in.

Get rid of the unarmed pre-req? Are you all on drugs? Well ok, I knowwe sell them, but you don't need to overdose yourselves on them.


Do you have any clue just how many people have TKM in addition to smuggler? If you change the prereqs to engineering, you will be screwing those people even more. If you want my opinion, spice should be removed altogether, and an unarmedbranch added in it's place. Then improve upon the underworld tree, with add-in bonuses for JTL.


I do not want to craft. We are smugglers. I don't want to make the drugs, I want to smuggle them for customers.


If you want to craft, take up one of the many more crafting professions. If you want better pistol specials, take up bounty hunter and pistoleer instead.


I know i'm going out on a limb here, and will make a lot of people mad at me, but I think Merchant-Smugglers areone of the thingshurting us and keeping us from getting a REAL SMUGGLING profession. The devs tinker around with ideas to keep them happy, which hurts the people that really want to smuggle. Yes, smuggling should involve fighting from time to time, in my opinion. I don't like the crafting part of it at all. I don't mind the tools. The spices need to go away to some other profession.

Smuggler may still need fixed, but it still doesn't need the prerequisites changed.

So much for a Smuggler revamp, maybe they should just rename us, it would take less time and be easy to do.
"Useless" would be my first choice as a name suggestion.


of course at this point there is no reason to revamp anything. SOE should just shut the game off.

What we have now IS what the devs want smuggler to be. The choice to actually 'play' it lies before US. Either we like this profession and play it, or we don't and move on. There is no 'fix' coming.
