Is it just me or do you all wonder why the heck we dont have to Smuggle stuff in and out of both Endor and Dathomir? Dathomir is prison planet and are not the Imperials building something on Endor they really dont want any one to know about?

Lol, in truth Dathomir is not even "with written consent", a prison was built there, and as soon as the Emperor discovered the Force witches he destroyed the shuttles from orbit and abandoned his troops there, and installed a orbital nightcloak over the planet in case he needed to destroy the nightsisters.

Yeah I know, I was trying to make it a little less strict since we are playing a game.

I'm hoping they surprise us and add Kessel and the Mines into the Expansion. Then we could have a REAL storyline based place to do smuggler runs to..

I agree totally. Endor should have been a similar situation. I think they should require a smuggler to get to these planets. Similarly I thought that they should require rangers to reach certain areas on each planet and have renewable content in those areas. Meaning that things like special creatures, npcs, ruins, etc. with possibilities for loot but no guarantee.
I am no ranger I just think every profession should be used by the player base to access high end portions of the game or to support there continued adventuring(ala the healing/support classes)

It is a good idea, but from a marketing standpoint (and we all know thats exactly what drives this and any other game) what happens when player A cannot find a Smuggler to get him to the planet he bought an expansion for? He doesn't go,..he gets upset and he quits. This is exactly why it would never be implemented. Maybe a cargo restricition or a "blockade" of certian items in and out of the planet requiring a Smuggler (such as certain weapons, meds, etc) would be a better option.

SOE will never do anything to restrict its players from traveling to experience its newest content.

I can hear the flames now...

I hope there's some kind of restricted access... Like Dathomir, the backstory there when the game launched was, "It's very expensive to go there because you have to hire a pilot to take you there" but then the cost of travelling there doesn't mean much to bajillionaires, and JTL = free travel... there should be some sort of retriction on several planets. I think it'd be cool if in order for rebels to get to the planet, they'd have to stage a run on the blockade, and after that, there'd be a certain amount of time where hte rebels would be allowed travel. otherwise they need a smuggler.

double thumbs up for this idea

The FBI issued a statement acknowledging that an "unspecified" threat had been received, adding that the information came from "an unknown and uncorroborated source regarding an unspecified potential threat".

They should, but they won't. We still don't have a contraband system.
