It won't be added.. it is just one of those things you know won't. But I'd sign for it, sure. CM's could even craft a component or two for them (increasing market value). Trouble would be getting people to use them at first Creative diea.

When I read the subject I thought the pill would let all us smugglers take the honorable way out of our ignored and abused profession. Now that would be useful.

I disagree... now you'll see hundreds of people killing themselves every time they're about to lose. That would hurt the GCW badly, imo.

/agree - this is a horrible idea. If you are about to die, just die and let the jedi, or whoever kills you, gain their XP or faction points. Nobody wins if you use a suicide pill.

ok.. so it's not cool to show kids that you can kill yourself to get out of a tight spot,(granted i agree with that, having 2 kids of my own) but you have no problem with us(smugglers) making Pharmaceuticals, AKA drugs?

BTW, the ESRB rating for this game is T, for Teen, AND under that it says "Game Experience may change during Online Play"

Seems more like a pill to be made by Docs or CMs. I dont think a smuggler would make these.

Even though I object to this idea...

Have you not looked at the different spices we make? We make medicine basically... Check out the names of the different spice trees.

Yes, I have looked at our spice tree and that is why I said it was not us, but a CM/DOC issue. We are not in the biz to kill our connections, or for that matter allow our connections to kill themselves. Downers are not nice, but the CM is into the whole medz to kill people stuff....and that would loosely delv into the DOC arena. We want the contacts to come back for more.

This will never happen for the same reason that 'Pusher' will never be our title for Spices IV:

It's a Teen-rated game. Violence takes a ratings-backseat to drugs and sexual stuff.

Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

Are we drug pushers, or simply opportunists that profit by trading in goods contrary to written law?

If there was a spy profession or something they might make/use them, but I don't see a smuggler considering suicide a viable option. They'd rather take a gamble and attempt to live. However, it would be hilarious to be able to offyourself and prevent people from gaining faction points and combat rating. In an older first person shooter called starsiege tribes I used to occasionally run off and distract like 5 people while my friend went to capture the flag. Once he brought it back to base I'd use the suicide command and deny them their single preciousfrag. Really madepeople mad, but I found it hilarious. People get so angry when they can't finish the job...and it's so fun to deny them, especially when a more important task is being done while they're distracted with you.

Roleplaying a smuggler, its not really my job to ask questions or to even limit what my customers can and cannot trade in. My master is the almighty credit. Pay me enough, you'll get whatever you desire. You wanna play Jack Kevorkian? Fine. Theres a premium for it, of course. You pay the cover charge, you can dance however you choose. Even if it means dancing with death itself.

You could look at it that way, but gamewise there is no win. You would have died without the pill anyway. It would be just another way of griefing / laming in this game.
