Normaly Im a realy cynical gal but i just cant find a single thing to dislike about these changes.
all that combined with whats on TC now made me simultaneously crap my drawrs, wet myself , and ...well you get the picture..
Yep- these changes look great, this game seems tobe improving in leaps and bounds since chrsitmas (maybe linked to them taking on more staff?)
The only thing I'm wondering is, as they are removing covert and overt to be replaced with pvp-enabled and pve only, which group will we need to be into to /delegate faction?
It sounds like all the faction perks you need to be overt to use now will be available for pve only and pvp enable players after the change. I might have to set up a toon on TC for when this gets there to see how the /delegate command is affected.
I would assume (yes i know but this assumtion is logical) that a smuggers services would be in line with the other forms of aid, ie,
----------------> Healing Actions -----------------> <------------ Healing Actions <----------------
Imperial Rebel
[PvP Enabled][PvP Disabled][Civilian][PvP Disabled][PvP Enabled]
| |
|_________________________________ Attack ___________________________|
I could be wrong but this seems logical but given the history here (chuckles) I belive I too will set up a smuggler on TC to be prepared for when this gets there.

I like these changes. One thing though:
Doesn't the new system mean that basically our skills at dodging Imp contraband patrols are now defunct? If I read it right, if you're a Combatant, then enemy NPCs will always attack. So, uhm...no more search dodging then unless you're neutral, sorry, I mean Civillian?
hmm- I'd say as an imp master smuggler I might still have a use for the skills, if they reduce the effect of rank on these searches to almost nothing. (maybe say the Emporer has started a drive to eliminate corruption in the officer class?).
The scope of who scans players for contraband should also be expanded- I've always thought it strange that the police forces in this game (Corsec, RSF and so on) never scan for illeagal items. And then I'd be able to choose to shoot my way past a scan like rebels can at the moment as well ![]()
