Interesting mixed results, of course my PSGs werent working at all when I was running around overt. Now that I duel my buddy for a test a few minutes ago, they start working again, what the heck? I've destroyed 3 perfectly good PSGs (perfectly good, when they work)lol. Good thing they are disposable anyhow. Wonder why they would work sometimes, and not others, this still seems like a bug.

Sliced and unsliced shield gens work. Your problem is that you don't re-equip it before a fight. They are bugged. Everytime I fly through a shuttle or starport I re-equip that bad boy.

This explains why some of you see bugs with both sliced and unsliced gens.

I tested it yesterday. First I had an unsliced PSG equipped that prevented the damage (gun was a scout blaster), then I equipped a sliced PSG and no effect. So re-equipping didn't work in this case.

Isliced a crate a few days ago for a friend and all we used since then work well, no need to unequip re-equip

the stats and resists on psg's have always been buggy PSGs have a tendancey to not work when you cross server bounderies and they also have a tendancy to change stats seemingly at random. be sure to unequip and reequip your psgs when traveling this will help the ineffectiveness bug.

I tend only to slice my psgs at the absolute last second because what I have noticed is that slicing them tends to increase their bugginess. for example you have an imp test psg stats are:

cond 2700/2700

energy 35%

stun 45%

heat 45%

kinetic 45%

resist 45%

cold 45%

acid 45%

now when you travel the stats on these will remain the same however if you go into combat you will notice it is not protecting you at all you must unequip and reequip it

the slicing problem is that say you slice it for ecumberanc (i dont feel like doing any math this morning but effect will change the stats accordingly)

you have the same psg but when you cross a server boundery or log out and log back in you will notice the stats change dramatically from above to something like:

cond 2700/2700

energy 35%

stun 45%

heat 45%

kinetic -

resist -

cold -

acid -

these stats will change at random and to be honest i dont know if they become vuln to the stats with the "-" or if they still give the same resists and its just a visual bug.

my suggestions:

unequip and re equip when traveling

slice them only when your about to use them

I have seen that stats display is buggy but not necessarily the protection. The plot thickens.

heh.. I have a 59% psg (effect sliced) and it really pisses riflemen off (in combination with the 40% stun helm) and makes geo pistols and stun bats particularly useless. I can tell you for a fact that they DO work... When a bh is hitting you with eyeshot with a 400 dmg geo pistol for 20-30 points of damage, its quite obvious that they work. Not to mention the combat spam that they generate is also proof .

shame I dumped stun damage to deal some acid damage a few weeks ago. I found that most players are highly damaged by my 480 damage DXR6b
