That's awesome. We got Vader to show at an Imperial event a couple weeks ago, but I've never heard of Han paying anyone a visit.

Good question.
We were told a "contact" would be coming to give us some information about Yim, then into the cantina pops Han Solo. We were all like, "Woah, cool!" and went on with the RP.
The whole rescue thing was very cool. First the visit from Han, then on to another contact (seemed to be a regular PC this time, but who knows) who we had to interrogate. He was supposed to lead us to where Yim was being held, but instead he took us down into the Squill Cave and tried to bolt. When we took off after him and brought him down, Stormtroopers attacked! Finally seeing he wasn't getting away, he told us where to find some more information and off we went. Found a datapad in an Imperial outpost with the info and finally, we were off to the Imperial Prison on Dath for the jail-break.
It was great fun, one of the best times I've had in SWG (and I've had some good times).

Wow, I am very curious about Yim's side of the story. Was he really "warped" from wherever he was to a jail? (I assume with an explanation of what was going on.)
I was not aware Devs sometimes were creating on the spot small scale events like that. Cool!

Han: *Laffy Wolf'ya was captured! she is in an Imperial jail*
*crowd muttering among themselves "Who?"*
Han: "I have information that might help rescue her. Who gonna help?"
Bystander 1: "don't know her"
Bystander 2: "my buffs are still good for an hour and still can do half a dozen mission, sorry"
Bystander 3: "With a name like that must be some l33t kid anyway, not ruining my armor for her"
Bystander 4: "A Bothan female name? Bothan female are soo not hot it is why there are so few of them. Let her rot in jail"
etc etc etc
I do have friends and PA mates (really!) just that we have timezone problems so the odds of getting them online at the same time are slim. I'm sure some strangers would jump in the rescue just for the heck of an event involving Han tho. So yeah I am being goofy.

this obviously is a hired npc... you can dress them, give them phrases to say, and name them what ever you like....
cool pic though.
I'd really like to hear the full story of the event. Yea, where is Yim when we need em.

Nope. We had one of them outside, he stayed in one spot and said the same thing whenever anyone approached, and I think the name filter still applies... This was Han. Name above his head was grey and his name in emotes was grey. He came in, asked for a drink, and responded to questions and emotes. He even /wink'd at the lady to the far right just before he walked out of the cantina.

Funny thing is, I was the whole time like "Woot!" and taking screenies, I think I managed to get one bow in before he left and that was it!

I've heard of Vader, Leia, and now Han showing up in places. What do you have to do to provoke these visits?

Yeah, the gray stuff proves it's real, controlled by Pex or whatever. They will do some pretty impressive things if you put a lot of planning and effort into a big RP event.
