I pretty much slice anything they want to hand to me, providing they agree on my price.
The only thing I regret charging for are encumberance slices on PSGs.
Sure, I may feel bad about a low or inappropriate slice, but buisness is buisness

As much as it sucks to get a bad slice on high end items.. Its complete opposite when you get an awsome slice on a high end item..probably even more intense than a bad one....
If it bothers you slice and give back like geevo and fish said...

I NEVER check what the stats on a weapon or armor piece is. I have my price, I do the slice, I give back the item.
I couldn't care less what the damage is on their weapon before I slice it, and I really don't care what it is after I slice it. Same with their armor.
Until I can select what type of slice it will be, or control the percentage increase, I'll never look or care about the stats.

lol. c'mon now, its not like its your fault. Personally I don't care what the slice is. I'm generally pretty non-chalant about it, and alot of times that seems to spread to the customer. If they do get a bit upset about it I just give em a sad face and say 'eh, whatcha gonna do? Its a game, Its random. better luck next time'. Screw them if they take something so insignificant so seriously
Just shrug it off. se la vi

Too many people are taking slicing for granted..
You'd think all the drama and heartburn caused by slicing would be noticed by now, and made very illegal with very dire consequences if caught carrying contraband (opposed to this pansy assed imperial crackdown carebear show).
Perhaps a "No slicing" month of protest (I know, I know - but I can dream)

I've instituted a "No Slicing" Career of Protest for anyone but close (nonpaying)friends. Does that count? ![]()

Trust me, encumberance slices on that particular suit of RIS are a bad slice.
The whole suit of RIS could be worn without buffs, unsliced. The base effect was 80% so all I needed was a 13% effectiveness slice to make the armor 90% base.
The encumberance on the two pieces I sliced were something like...
12
0
16
BEFORE THE SLICE.
So afterwards they were something like
9
0
11
That sir, is a horrible slice.

DAMN YOU ENTER KEY!!
Anyway..
Please don't blame yourself for the luck of the draw. There are no bad slices, that's impossible (The worst slice is an encumbrance slice on a PSG). Unlucky slices, yes, but no bad slices.

Those were bad slices.
Perhaps.. Personally, I think you're hurting yourself more than you should be. I've 15spd sliced a Yellow DE-10. It wasn't meant to be, and that's how it is. It didn't make it worse, as I said - that's impossible unless you blow the slice. Its just you're getting stuck in the mindset of the child-esqe (is that a word??) player base - those who can wield illegal goods with virtually no risk.
Its fame.. If you nail that 35pct damage slice on the special weapon, you've become a rock star - they recommend you, tip you extra, get you into that special room in Jabba's Palace, etc. If you do poorly, they treat you like the crap at the bottom of a Bantha's feet. They curse and swear your name up and down Coronet, demand that you charge less, not pay at all, demand you replace the item, and so forth.
