Does it couont as a try if I blew myself up when I tried to use a bomb droid the first time?
BTW I was standing on top of it when it exploded and I didn't get hurt.
(Obviously a bomb droid is not a grenade or the one I used was so nerfed that it couldn't hurt anything.)

*points to the medics*
I think they get much more used by dabblers. If you got the SP it is ok for me. And if my Smuggler ever goes Jedi, well thats not quite right said. My Smuggler will stay Smuggler, he just happens to be able to saber your ass from here to Tatooine.

Here's my 2 cents on dabbling:
Dabbling is what makes the SWG skill points/profession system so cool. You CAN dabble in various professions if you so choose. Little of this, little of that, and you make up a template you're happy with.
The caveat to this is the old "Jack of all Trades, master of none" concept. If you're a dabbler, you will get various skills and abilities, but they should pale in comparison to what a Master can do.
Should Jedi and Bounty Hunters, or anyone else be able to dabble in Smuggler, and pick up Feign Death? Absolutely. However, Feign Death should be noticably scaled such that a dabbler who only picks up Dirty Fighting 1 is going to be FAR less effective at Feign Death than someone who has DF2, 3, 4, etc. all the way up to Master. The skill mods against FD are not drastic enough to properly scale the ability and make dabbling work like it should.
Maybe there should be a modifier to being able to feign, and a modifier to being able to stay feigned. At DF 1, for example, a dabbler could effectively pretend to be hit and die, but they'd suck at lying there dead for the long term, and fidget and move, giving their charade away. Whereas at DF4, and even moreso at Master, the person feigning would be much better at convincingly playing dead.

It doesn't make any sense to have such a powerful ability as a low-level Smuggler ability so I think it should be moved to a higher level, and probably Master - something that has been debated many times before on this board and that I think will be resolved soon.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the devs include in the next major new patch!

I have to agree. This is exactly what I want FD to be. And Dabblers are fine, thats what makes SWG so fun. and here's the big issue--->Jedi's and BH's using FD is not a skill Exploit. The problem isn't that they use the skill, the problem is that the skill wasn't designed correctly. Also, griefing has never bothered me. Sure, the skill needs fixed so that griefing isn't possible, but for now, if you FD during PvP, you better expect some sort of retribution for stealing the DB from the other guy.
