I have no sympathy here. I went through about 600 weapons when I did this. I'm a pretty bitter guy about alot of stuff in this game, and I want everyone to experience the joy of slicing without clamps and more at novice level. I'd probably petition for any macro option to be removed if there was one...

I would feel good about it too.

Hehehe Cool someone else that has the same viewpoint I do... if you want to become a smuggler you need to get your brain fried by the repedative task of slicing manual, or grinding X to make exp, or healing, or what ever. the only time i stepped away from the keyboard while trying to get a profession was entertainer... Good grief talk about mind destroying

I remember way back when slicing containers with no fans clamps or anything because they were almost impossible to find. This second time up the slicing tree is much nicer than the first. Why am i going up it again well we can just say i was tempted by a little blue box.... stupid box....

Nothing was ever achieved by an early riser who set himself to a task and worked hard. Every advance in human technology was made by a lazy person looking for a shortcut.

It's not good to be idle, but lazy and idle are different things.

Now that is funny. I am just trying to imagine how lazy Thomas Jefferson must have been in order to invent the light bulb, phongraph, ect. Or how about Alexander Graham Bell, yep another lazy man.

What the... I don't think Thomas Jefferson did any of that, but perhaps Edison did...

Doh....... you are correct.

I think the real father of invention would be greed. Most inventions come from some one wanting to improve productivity or effectiveness so they can make more profit.

"But that's 300+ weapons to slice. I'm gonna get metacarpal!

Yes, I am lazy in rl too! heh"

Why did you take the order for 300+weapons if your too lazy to slice them?

I repeat myself (but I am not sure if this is his reason)

300 weaponslices isthe exact ammountxp you need to get from slicing 2 all the way throught to slicing 4.

at 250 xp per slice, thats 2,500 xp per 10 slices, and 25,000 xp per 100 slices. You need 25k slicing xp to go from slicing 2-3. then you need 50k slicing xp from 3-4. so thats 25k x 2= 200 slices.

200 slices + 100 slices= 300 slices, which he is doing. I hope this helps, and i hope this is the reason why he's slicing 300 weaps.

No sympathy here. Not only did I slice all 300 weapons without a macro, butImade more than 200 of them with a crafting tool one at a time so I could grind up business in the artisan tree.

But 300+ items to slice is a daunting task. Anything that can shave a bit of time off that certainly would be welcome.

If I had 300+ items to slice, I'd look for a shortcut as well.

Having sliced close to this many things at once before I can tell you, it IS a daunting task. *Shivers*

It's funny that you mention Edison because he is the perfect example.

Edison was asked by a friend to dim the lantern that was hung from the ceiling. Edison had been drinking and had enjoyed a good lunch and told his friend to do it himself. As his friend stood up to put the shutters on the lantern Edison remarked how good it would be if you could just switch the light off with a switch. Less then a month later he built his first bulb.

He recorded sound because he was tired of telling people the same thing over and over again. He made a recorded message and played it over and over when anyone asked him a question.

In fact most of his inventions were discovered whilst he was napping.

If Edison were alive today you can bet HE would invent a slicing macro!
