Thread: Smuggler armour question
I can sell booster blue pretty easily from the bazaar, but to me it's not worth the time setting up the factory and buying the stuff to make it. Booster Blue is the new "hot" spice with the PvP crowd, so it will most likey be the best seller. Pixie is probably good for those that can't afford to buy chef foods, I don't really see a use for Muon Gold at all now.
Every now and then I'll get a hankering to make myself some more BB... so I end up making a full run. Keep a few crates for myself and bazaar the rest. They sold fast at 10k per crate of 25 once they started to sell, but it's still not worth the time if you ask me. I suppose if you don't have any other major source of income you might be able to make a few extra credits this way, but for me it just takes time away from hunting BH marks. I've made more credits in the last 2 weeks playing MBH than I did in months as a smuggler... so I'm guessing you can figure out why I don't bother with spices.
I still do the odd slice (I have plenty of slice loots now that I'm BH also) and faction point transfers (Private bases FTW, very low chance of getting jedi-ganked), but I still make the majority of my credits selling BH loot. As far as making money as a smuggler goes... you'll make more by doing slices and FP transfers than spices by far.
Actually, on the side topic of spices, I have never had trouble selling. In fact, it's quite a steady business for me. For me, it was about brand marketing.
Pixie = Wren Dust
Muon = Mindjob
etc..
It's sexy. It's bold. And people are hooked on it. Have been a long while. In fact, many don't even know them by their proper names anymore. They just ask for Wren Dust. ![]()
Oops, forgot about the original question.
I would try to stay with recon armour. I know my recon pieces are 8k energy resist, 6k all others. That is better than some Battle and BH armour I have seen. Not sure why it is that way, but not complaining for those times when I actually have to use armour.
