Well, there's a couple of things you have to know...
1) It is absolutely eerie...about six months ago, give or take there was another thread with the EXACT same title. The thread was called, near as I can remember, "Petition to not nerf our already neglected profession: A must sign for any smuggler." Quote unquote, no foolin'. So this has been tried so many times that we're recycling titles. You had no way of knowing so don't sweat it.
2) You should know that petitions NEVER work here. The dev's have flat out stated on more than one occasion that they don't even READ petitions (most recently said in the past week or so by Tiggs about the Imperial Hat petition that surfaced right before they finally added the Imperial Hat). So the gesture, while sweet, is useless...
None of this is a flame, by the way. I mean, how can any of us get angry at you? It's not like you're the first or only person to be silly enough to try this. This is just the benefit of my sadly vast experience on this forum. But good on ya for trying to do something active!

nah it's the damn forums, I'm having the same problems. I have to keep signing in and when I do it some times makes a new thread. Oh and the last petition was actualy nercoed from about 7 months ago
