Would there be any chance I could get all this in a Word Doc? I tried to copy and paste it, but all I get is a garish table and text that's too far spaced out.

Also, if I could procure electricnomad's other posts about Smugglers in SWG History, that would be excellent.

Please send me a PM!

Copy-Paste it in a txt, then copy-paste in the doc.

You need to reapply the... *ponder* I forgot the word for it...

Master Smuggler, Master Squad Leader.

19 months on, i still wait. I still read the posts where they promise us something, anything but then fail to deliver. I have never been so close to cancelling as right at this minute. Jedi have had 2 publishes and numerous hotfixxes and mini-publishes. Smugglers have had... nerfs. Just nerfs. In real terms, the amount of benefit smugglers have received over time is negative.

This whole profession has been comprehensively shat on and worse than ignored, deliberately misled since launch. Even Chefs have had more attention because chefs, as we all know, are vital to the SW canon.

Don't get me wrong, i do not grudge chefs their revamp - they needed it. The issue here is, smugglers need it too. Smugglers need it worse. Smugglers have needed it more than practically ANY other profession since launch.

And smugglers have been given... empty promises, no action, nerfs.

If SOE want to remove the smuggler profession it would be far more honest for them to simply do so rather continually feed us this bullsh!t and hope we all cancel or change professions, which is the only logical explanation i can see.

Are there any master smugglers still around who have been so since launch? Those guys deserve a gizmo named after them for sheer bloodymindedness! I thought DE's suffered. Hope your revamp comes thru ok, guys

I've been a Smuggler since July 03, and a Master Smuggler since September of the same year (being mostly a solo/ casual player, as well as how difficult it was initally just to find lockedcontainers to slice, and of courseslicing them successfully before molecular clamps were readily available, really slowed me down). But, I'm also a career forum lurker as well, so I don't post much, or often. I've keptan activeaccount since the game went live (since before that, if you count the fact that I was in the beta too). I took a few monthshiatus in mid-2004, though.

I have been Master Smuggler this whole time. I was not one of the holocron grinders. All I ever wanted to be, even during beta, was a Smuggler. Of course, even in beta, being a Smuggler wasn't easy. The trainers were either not present or borked until about 2 weeks before the game went live. Smuggler, as a profession got less than a week of real testing in beta, so it was never a surprise to me that we had some many problems and have ever since. Its almost a russian thing....you know...where suffering is matter of national pride. For we, the dedicated Smugglers, suffering has been our galactic pasttime.

Oh, and I'm still waiting.

Of course, YMMV.

Psh. I'm old school. I've been around since about 2 years before Beta. Been a smuggler this whole time, in one sense or another.

I wish EN was here to update things.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

LOL! Solo would be out for blood. EN might too. Not sure.

I miss those two. And Kav. Always the voice of reason, was Kav.

Really though...I think Kav would have had something to say. I don't think he would have figured this one out as logically....I don't really think you can.

And I wuold pay good money to see Tyrant and Solo go one on one in a debate...just for the ruthlessness of it all. EN's version would be slightly more strategic...he'd make Tyrant out to be a fool rather than Solo's obvious tactic of ripping his credibility and judgement to shreads.
