I LOVE my Nova Courier. It really IS the perfect ship.
I only wish those ships could survive longer than two shots in space PvP, because they would be the ultimate in fun up there if they could only last...
I think the pilot forum's worked out a pretty stupendous mix of analysis and suggestions concerning the problems with POBs in both PVE and PVP.. now it's just a case of continuing to make that case toward the powers that be.
What up Goliath, good to see you round here again.

Wow you honestly play SWG JUST for smuggler? If so,I'm suprised you've played for this long.
Though technically, the movies never showed smuggling,so SWG does reflect the movie.
I played for two years as a Smuggler because SOE has been promising to put Smuggling into the game since launch.
But I don't play anymore, and I don't pay anymore. My account expires tomorrow.
It's all in the sig.

He also smuggled the whole crew onto the Death Star, smuggled them off Hoth, and smuggled a rebel commando team onto Endor.

Technically Han Smuggled Luke, Ben, R2, and 3PO out of Mos Eisley!so there was DEFINITELY Smuggling shown in the movies.also Jabba and Han had a nice little talk on more than one occasion about Han's Smuggling mishaps.
Well if all you want in SWG is smuggling people then you must have low expectations. That can be easily done without actually putting any content in the game.
As for Jabba and Han talking about it.There's a difference between TALKING about smuggling and actually engaging in the act of smuggling. They talk about a lot of things in the movies. Han once said nothing beats a blaster at your side, but over half the people in this game don't even use blasters(or any sort of ranged weapon).

You're right, we never saw TKAs, Swordsmen, or Armorsmiths, nobody even talked about them... so let's elimnate them then... At least they talked about smuggling, did some smuggling, and even used Han's smuggling exploits as a MAJOR part of the story line.

little extreme dont you think? I mean I did read about TKA in the EU which was were they came from, and we do know that weapons, armor, droids and ships all come from an industrialized society so we know someone made them. Smuggling people and smuggling items is all prettymuch the same thing, even by earthly standards they still smuggle people across national borders daily. I dont think the cargo matters so much as actually hiding someone/thing in a manner to avoid detection (and dont mean invisible numbers behind the scenes like they tried with that spice detection thing).

You know what, I think anyone who has played this game for any length of time has come to the realization that this game is only very loosely based on the movies and the rest of the Star Wars universe, so I could give two regular lengths of s**t less what they did or didn't do in the movies. The implication of the ongoing act of smuggling was in the movies as well as in the rest of the SW universe. The plain and simple fact is....
Artisans can craft
Doctors can heal
Creature Handlers can handle creatures
Bounty Hunters can Hunt
Entertainers can entertain
Jedi can......er...Jedi
In fact every other profession in this game can pretty much do what it was intended with the exception of Smuggler.
Smugglers cannot smuggle!
So go troll somewhere else.

Yes, that's not to say that a majority of the professions still don't need work, my point is other than slicing and making spice we have nothing.
I agree with EEMAN completely. At least you smugglers can do some smugglerly-type activies. Squad Leaders can't really lead their squad at all(the dev's haven't nerfed us,but they created the SL prof with broken abilities and haven't fixed/added anything to us). For all that you smugglers complain, you've gotten more love than a lot of professions. Who cares if you still want more? At least the Developers have looked at your profession and modified in some way. The Squad Leader profession might as well be a non-existant profession, what with how we've gotten NO love. I wish Squad Leaders had gotten enough fixes to be at the point where smugglers are, where we can complain freely about how all we want is new stuff, since most of our existing stuff has already been fixed.
This may sound like a flame, but geez realize you're not the only profession that isn't what it should be. Think about us Squad Leades,Rangers, and Commandos(just to name a few). We've been given nothing and been forced to like it. You've been given loads and still act like you're the most-broken profession in this game.

I agree with EEMAN completely. At least you smugglers can do some smugglerly-type activies Name them! Making drugs is not smuggling, altering weapons and armor is not smuggling. Go look up the definition of "smuggling". Squad Leaders can't really lead their squad at all(the dev's haven't nerfed us,but they created the SL prof with broken abilities and haven't fixed/added anything to us). For all that you smugglers complain, you've gotten more love than a lot of professions. Once again name the love we have gotten! If you are refering to the numerous nerfs that our profession has endured since launch, we don't consider that love. If you are refering to the new generic, watered down slicing system that bases nothing on actual skill then your barking up the wrong tree there. Give me examples of any love we have gotten. Who cares if you still want more? By that logic who cares if SL can actually lead a squad. At least the Developers have looked at your profession and modified in some way. Once again nerfs and the crappy slicing system don't count. The Squad Leader profession might as well be a non-existant profession, what with how we've gotten NO love. Just like Smugglers.I wish Squad Leaders had gotten enough fixes to be at the point where smugglers are, What point is that, give me examples, show me where we are or have ever been tothis point you speak of.where we can complain freely about how all we want is new stuff, since most of our existing stuff has already been fixed.

We've been given nothing and been forced to like it. You've been given loadsYet again, give me examples of the "loads" we have been given (I can give examples of loads alright, loads of s**t)and still act like you're the most-broken profession in this game. BTW, I also play a Ranger, Rifleman, Commando, BH, and they all can at least do what their intended functions were. Like I stated earlier,I never said that most of the other professions don't need work, but for the most part they can do what they were intended to do. My Ranger\Rifleman can track, stalk, kill and harvest creatures. My BH\Commando can take bounty missions and track and kill his target, as well as use his commando weapons and get the AoE's. So yes I have played most of these professions you speak so out of those I listed the Smuggler needs the most work. I haven't played an SL so I can't speak on their behalf although being a Ranger I have grouped with many SL's and am aware of the work that needs done to their profession. The difference between you and I is that I am not using the fact that the Smuggler profession needs serious work to trivialize another professions issues, much as you are doing. So why don't you just head on back to the SL forums and stop trolling here. At least EEMAN is being objective which I can respect, you, on the other hand, are just talking out your a$$.
