Oh for the love of God...

I can't believe I'm signing into a soon-to-be-dead alternate account to do this...but here it is...

I've read EVERY major piece of the Expanded Universe and can say without a doubt that Han is NOT Force Sensative.

The list and card that everyone keeps referring to is part of the Roleplaying game released by WotC a LONG time ago. Much as SWG does not follow any kind of SW continuity or whatever, neither did the WotC RPG. It may be officially licensed (it has to be in order to wear the "Star Wars" logo). But I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in the biographies created by the geniuses at WotC.

Two creds from the Smuggler known as DrevenStrobe.

P.S. - I'll soon have my main back online and will again be a regular poster and lurker in the Smuggler forum.

Well in Star Wars everybody is sensitive to the force in one way or another, some like Jedi just channel that ability. In Hans case I think it's just mostly luck, but who knows, obviously Lucas wasn't thinking about that when he made A New Hope

All beings are connected to the force (well, those who weren't stripped of the force). And everyone is "atuned" to the force in some manner. Just the largest percentage have no chance in useing the force (those who do are known as "Force Sensitive")

This has long been the "accepted" viewpoint, even previous to Episode 1 (which reenforced it).

As I understand it, all humanoid life from the "main" Star Wars locations (not counting the Yukuza Vong or whoever they are/is spelled) were part of the Force and had Midichlorians (sp.?) flowing through them. The thing is that it took many many thousands of Midichlorians to be able to SENSE the Force (and hence be Force Sensitive) and then through rigerous training and a lifetime of practice could one efficiently wield the Force.

I don't think it's ever been explained why some people have more Midichlorians than others at birth and there are many loopholes to this theory since Lucas has stated that the more Midichlorians a person has flowing through them, the more efficient and powerfull they can become at using the Force (example: why doesn't Anakin/Vader become much less powerfull when his body is mutalated and becomes "more machine than man").

So, back to the original question of Han Solo being attuned to the Force? No, he never once used or sensed the Force in the Expanded Universe novels, comics, games, or the movies. Is the Force with everyone? Yes, becomes the Force is controlled through Midichlorians that can be controlled/spoke to through the person they inhabit. So, a resounding "No" is the answer. Han wasn't attuned to the Force as far as Star Wars lore goes, but he had Midichlorians inhabiting him like everyone else, he just didn't believe in them or the Force or use them (wouldn't be able to sense them with such a low count anyway) and only after his friend Luke became a full fledged Jedi Knight and he saw the powers with his own eyes did he even start to believe.
