Thread: Spice Price Undercutting WHY?

I've sold a full run of 5 different spices in a day at 15k. People are selling at 5k on the server as well as 17500k . Thing is mine are still selling even though I havepeople way under selling me and eventually ruining a good market.


I think thats the point I'm trying to get a consensus for a mean price...10k - 15K - 25K

I sell both from a vendor and on the bazaar...


I'm having trouble selling pixie for 5k.

I got them at 10k for a crate simply because you can get any resource and put it in and have perfect "stats". So if I'm spending like 2 or 3 cpu for the resources, why do I need to charge a huge amount of the finished product?


I haven't figured out exactly what I make in profit on each factory run, but I know I'm not in debt and I can afford what I need to have fun in game. So why extort money from other players since spices are the "in" thing?

What kind of smuggler are you?! Why extort money?! The question you should be asking is, "How can I further extort money from other players now that I've successfully managed to price gouge them on spice?"


I just wish I could figure out a good way to get rid of the price under cutters... maybe I've been approaching this from the wrong angle, maybe instead of considering buying all of their spice and reselling it I should buy up all of the resources and inflate the prices on those thereby jacking up the price on everyone's spice...

All I'm trying to say is if your still selling crates at 5k which is all we were getting pre CU then your hurting yourself and the smuggling community. When the game first kicked off before foods got big Muon and Pixie went for 25k a crate.


Think about it; a price base is good for all of us.

I never said extort. You said your not in debt and your charging 10k. Each server has a different economy but 10-15k is what I would consider a fair price.


BTW - I wish a BH could hunt smugglers..I would welcome the fun

Well I'm selling for 15k and have a back log of requests for more. As people are helping me get resources and able to buy grinding stuff for 0.5-1 cpu I find this reasonable. With food being what it is currently I'm looking to get a little ahead until spices get the nerf bat again. What is an interesting possibility for the future is with spice being under food using chef clothes to experiment of course this would mean stats on the needed resources and an increase in prices as u buy the premo stuff.


I would also like to see some medal/badge or whatever to distinguish between real smugglers and respec's.

Most of the people here on the forums are charging more like 25K-50K per crate, actually. I think you'll find the undercutters aren't even here. My suggestion is to buy the undercut stock and re-sell it higher.

I'm not undercutting anyone, but I do match the undercutters. I have neither the time nor the inclination to run around and buyout out all of the undercutters. Even if I did it would be awaste of time anyway. Why? Because I know of at least fiveresource vendors that they could all run to and buy the resources they need to make anotherfull factory load of spice for aboutwhat they're charging for one crate.


Right now the average price on my server seems to be about 8k per crate, which is far below what I was hoping to sell it for, but since I'm getting my resources from the same people thatall of the undercutters are buying from I really can't complain.


Believe me, when I was first starting out as a crafter I undercut people constantly with my vehicle prices. I was mining my own resources whereas they were all paying 3cpu for theirs so I could charge 1/3 of their prices and still make the same amount of profit that they were. I had numerous individuals try to buy me out, but that didn't discourage me one bit. Why would it? When an undercutter sets his price he's still making a profit that he's happy with. What does he care who buys the product and what they do with it?
