Well I guess I was hoping someone would have some insight on this. Some people say it works as intended and some say it should break on damage.

You're in the wrong forum. It's the Jedi that decide what gets nerfed in our profession. At least that's how it seems.

Concussion Shot is supposed to "mesmerize" the target. Basically, it completely shuts down a target for an amount of time or until it takes damage again. By completely shut down, I mean the target can't move, can't heal, can't attack, can't change postures--nothing. It is essentially frozen in place.
Currently, Concussion Shot works like a more powerful Stopping Shot. All it does is root something in place. As you can see, this is not its intended function. Roots are not meant to break automatically on damage. Currently, Concussion Shot is working the way a root should.
But it's not working the way Concussion Shot should.

if it's a Smuggler move. it will be nerfed

so are you saying that Stopping shot is supposed to be a pure "Root" shot? meaning that it will hold a player in place until the timer runs out?
i understand all that about Concussion shot though. if they intended it to be a true "Mezz", fine. let them fix it and make it work as intended. but i'd like to see them keep at least one true "Root" shot in the game. if that will be Stopping shot then so be it.

I have built my template around concussion shot the way it works now...if that is going to change I will look at alternate templates. I was a Smuggler for a Loooong time and would love to see the revamp and be a part of it but I also love PvP and like I said Concussion is what my template is built around.

concussion would be more powerful imo in it's form (text version) If this could prevent all actions, including Force Heal most importantly.
