So I think the thing with a lot of Rodians is we carry this thing on our shoulder.... I call it the Greedo curse. I think we all want to do better than he did at making a name for Rodians in the star wars universe.

Anyway I hit master smuggler a few nights ago. I had tried smuggler once before but never mastered, this time I was determined!

After reaching master, I assume like a lot of you, I had a little cache of weapons I wanted to slice. But I was too scared. lol I kept logging off while examining some new pistols and hammers.

So last night I thought enough is enough. I've gotta do this, time to spin the wheel 'o slicing and see if I'm bankrupt. I pulled out 2 geo pistols I purchased. I don't know if I over paid for them or not but I could find no better on our server (Corbantis) over the last month or so.

I went to a vendor who was known for great ranged stuff and he did have one better Geo pistol (better than my two anyway) but it was priced at 3.5 million. Ouch. My smuggler didn't have that kind of cash (I had to tip him with my alt).

I closed the vendor window and thought, no, I've got two decent million credit geos right here to slice... I fought the urge to log off again and I sliced one... 24% Damage! Woot. I was pretty happy. The second pistol I had 'a bad feeling' about. Silly as this sounds I sliced some combat knives and junk until I thought I had all my speed slices out of the way. I then turned to my second Geo and proceeded to hit it with an 18% speed slice! Ouch. But no harm done. I got one pistol.... I did have a bad feeling though, should have listened to my gut instinct (maybe that's why Greedo's dead).

So something suddenly came over me, and I found myself going into the vendor window again and buying the 3.5 million credit GEO (with slightly better stats than my current ones (pre-sliced))!!! This would just about break me, and before I knew it, I was about to slice the thing. I had a good feeling about this but at the same time I thought I was nuts. Regardless, I clamper her up and got a 23% Damage slice! Wow. I breathed a huge sigh of relief and thought this must be what addictive gambling feels like. lol

Oddly enough before I could do anything truly stupid (like lose the pistols on a game of sabbac) I logged off. But I did take down the stats, and to be honest, these could be cruddy stats but here they are:

Geo blaster:
Unsliced 135-307
Sliced 166-377
Power up 193-502.

Is this worth putting an ADK on? (I have one... only one though)

I just sliced like 2k knives to boost my slicing xp. Then sliced one of my guildmates Kyrat DE-10's

You'd think those 2k knives would of dulled the excitement....no luck here

Wow... and I thought I got lucky. To be honest up till now I've rarely received the slice I needed... whether I was grinding (and wanted higher speed slices) pistols or whatever. I really expected to have blown a ton of credits on speed sliced pistols. I'm very happy with the results because I'm pretty sure if that pistol had been 'pre-sliced' on the vendor, I couldn't have afforded it. Plus as sad as this might sound, that is the best pistol I have owned in my year + of playing.

But yea there is a definite feeling of addiction when slicing. My personality is doomed to put me in the poor house with this profession.... I should fit in nicely.
