WOW, thats funny. Of course I only relized a couple of days ago I dont have any area attacks.

I don't think it is so farfetched, here's why:

There are a lot of "casual" players out there who log on every so often, play for an hour or two, and log off. They are typically un-guilded and are still working there way through the Novice profession(s). Additionally, this type of player is not usually active on the Forums. As such, it would be very easy for them to be blissfully unaware of all the CU changes (and arguments, btw). With their more limited exposure and experience, they have nothing to compare the "new" system to...to them the changes are just a function of getting time and experience...they don't grasp the overall picture.

I know I was like that myself for the first several months I was playing. The patches and updates meant very little to me, since I was not powerful/experienced enough to know any better yet and I did not read the Forums at all. Sure, I noticed the addition of speeders and player housing, but a lot of the combat or Master profession changes had nothing to do with me...I was a humble Novice Scout/Marksman for many months Looking back, I can see the "importance" of many of the patches/changes but at the time I didn't fully understand what was changing.

!! a combat upgrade??? whats that ?, is it a quest reward ?, how do you use it ?, where can I get one

It almost shames me to say that I know someone that's attempting to do just that: mix Jedi (force cloak, specifically) and Bounty Hunter.

Hopefully that will become a trend and they'll get each other nerfed instead of smugglers, lol.

actually it's already happening.

There's a lot of cases of jedi, with only healing, cloak, and a few others, and master marksman or other profs. There was a case of a cloaked bh picking off his target with a rifle just the other day..

And the jedi forums are filling up with people reccomending /respec to a better class, so when the bh comes they whip out their PA or pistols themselves..

As weird as this may sound alot of ppl dont have the time to play as much as others and there are even a few players that only play now n then.

Aye, it might help if they had a big banner on the launch (maybe instead of the "Loot Revamp!" one that said "Hey! The Game, it's Changed! See how here" or something. VERY kind of you spend the time with those two

Too subtle. At least 30% of the playerbase will still be surprised at the changes as they discover them, and volunteer to start class-action lawsuits against SOE for violation of their First Ammendment rights.
