"A “salvage” option now exists on weapon and armor upgrade kits. Using this option will replace the kit with a random component used in the new slicing system."
but does that mean we can leave them crated, and then when we pull them out and salvage, they will convert then? Or do we still have to keep borrowing everyones house to store the individual upgrade kits? Everyone I know is up to there ears in my WUKs!

I had plenty of time to unpack mine, I'm just too lazy to bother.
As of final TC patch crated stuff doesn't convert. I recommend keeping them in case GM is given time to code a fix.
Of course, that's hardly the biggest bug in this publish (anyone with a pet or droid- do NOT call it or you will set it to CL1 health 10, any crafters be aware new resources are bugged and stats do not count, the nice new quest is gated and can't be finished, oh, and all lairs are now 1500 hitpoints so expect to see a LOT of people running missions on high end planets for easy cash).
Well I guess im covered regardless, I did managed to squirrel away about 250 of each open kit, and then I have about 10 crates left of each that i didnt have room for. Now my only problem is that in my hurry to stock up on kits, i hadnt thought about getting some cheap weapons to play with! Guess I will get busy when the servers come up =)
That was supposedly fixed. We still have bugged resources on TC and have to wait until they shift out. This information was shared with us after you went off-line last night.

Eh! Who cares.... we all are going to be charging 500k MINIMUM per slice right?

The only schematics a smuggler has now are for spices. WUK and AUK schematics are gone too. If you had factory run schematics I don't know if they disappeared, but the schematics disappeared from the skill trees.
