No...since you have to be overt to sell FP, the Imperial recruiter won't even talk to you, much less give you the option to buy FP from him.

They dont sell FP to the other faction, just blaster bolts.

But they are for free...

So in esscence I'd have to hook up with an imperial recruiter and sell each other faction points? Im thinking imperial is the way to go just cause of the Atsts, I wonder if the bases are the same.

If you want to sell Imperial faction, you have to be Imperial...bottom line. This means that if you want to sell ATSTs (which you can't really do since you can't transfer faction pets from player to player), you have to resign from the Rebel Alliance (and lose all of your rank in the process). Then, you would need to find another Imperial Smuggler / FP broker to help you get your Imperial rank up to Colonel. After that, you can sell other players the necessary FP for purchasing ATSTs, but yourself, or a team of Smugglers cannot buy ATSTs then resell them to other players. A Smuggler team can, however purchase bases, minefields, etc. and resell them.

Are ATSTs still even that effective? Last I checked, they were just a big waste of FP...

buy it from the recuiter is one thing you CAN get the other side's recuiter to talk to you and sell you faction IF you arent too far in the hole with that factionm BUT sellong it is not posible as you must be Overt in order to delegate the FP to another player.

I have yet to try it but you could run missions for the other side and earn fp that you could then sell to your sides recuiter "i have some valuble information for you" opption in conversation menu im not even realy sure what the pay out is on that.

Yes...you can buy yourself out of whatever negative Imp faction you have, and even buy up to 500 Imp FP...(I think)...

BUT...what would you do with them after that? You can't buy Imp faction perks because you're a Rebel. You can't transfer them to another player because you would have to be an Overt Imperial to sell them off.

And, if you're currently neutral...WHY are we even discussing this?

Just go become an Imperial Colonel...problem solved.

Dreven I understand this, I just mastered smuggler like a week ago (this is my 4th character). I was simply looking for answers I recieved. Thank you for your input though. I was debating whether or not to become imperial with my smuggler or rebel, to see what made me more money for faction bases and what not. Thats why i'm discussing this.

And to add , I wasnt sure about the whole faction point selling. I was under the impression that If I was a colonel on either side 1) I would get the best ratio for conversion 2) and I thought I could buy the max amount of either faction (points)-----now I know I cant so my question was answered. The only question remains is what side would be more profitable

rebel would be more profitable in regards to a single sale. the COA bons is still active thus the fp are cheaper for you to buy and transfer alltogether.

Imperial would be more profitable in terms of demand. Imperial smugglers are very hard to find, and if you were imp colonel, you would certainly have a business going. an expensive one, but a good one.

I love my ATST, i pet it and hug it and stroke it and.........

I've used it several times to get me out of tight spots when heavily out numbered by overt players (4-1 or worst), I couldn't see myself giving it up, especially since of the amount of time it took me to get one.

Ultimately its better to have one than not I suppose
