If I use Aim before I do my Last Ditch, will it increase my chances of landing it successfully? Or does Aim not effect it? I haven't had time to test this, just thought about it and thought I'd ask.
If I remember correctly, you need to be standing still to use Aim. If that's so, you make yourself rather vaunerable, at very low health, when trying to combine it with LD. However, when Concussion shot is changed to a Mez, like it's supposed to be, then you can hit your target with the Mez, stop, use Aim and then mash LD... Do you guys think this'll work well or will it not help enough to be worth it?
Thanks

It only works for one-shotting Jedi whiners. Don't believe me? Go check the BH and Jedi forums... they whine there a lot. Sometimes they come here but we just pelt them with pie until they leave.

i actually thought about that a few weeks ago. and i decided against it.
you do have to be standing still for Aim to work. and there's a rather long warm up. so overall i'l say that Aim wouldn't be very effective in conjunction with a split second gambling move like Last Ditch.
now your idea with Mezz, Aim, and LD might work, but you'll have to time it juuuuust right.
so i wouldn't call it a strong tactic.
you'd have to have very little health for the LD to hit hard enough for an incap, so you'll have to start your Aim shortly after you Mezz your opponent. otherwise your health will naturally regen to a point where it's no longer wise to use LD. and i'm not sure how much of an accuracy bonus is given with Aim either. so it might not be worth it if there's still much of a chance you can miss with your LD.

I'm basically just asking so I can improve my chances when attempting my Last Ditch. I hope I didn't come off as a "whiner"... or where you saying that Aim + LD is only good for a BH vs. Jedi? I'm confused.... I don't want to start anything, I'm just trying to work out tactics to make myself a better player. I SUCK much arse in PvP right now, lol... always have. I'm not looking for an exploit, I'm not asking how best to /slap an npc, I'm not looking for cheats.... Just tactics using abilities as they are intended to be used. So IF anyone has tried Aim and LD in combination, would you please reply and let me know if it worked or not. Also, is it even worth the risk of standing there while the Aim warms up? Thanks again.

read my reply.
Aim + Last Ditch = dead. probably more often than when using LD by itself.

In theory, it should work.. Will have to test to be sure.. Anyway, timing would be the key for pulling it off.. Just factor in the time it takes to aim for anticipating when to last ditch..

I suppose it would work really well if you slapped a Stormie, let him incap you, get up, Aim, then let rip with Last Ditch. Timing wouldn't be much of a factor then.
Maybe I should go tell it on the BH forums. hehe.

how bout starting to use the confusion aim LD with about enough health to survive one round without getting incappped. that way you have just enough time to pull it off without dying and having that accuracy bonus.

I did, that post you quoted was being typed when you wrote yours. I appreciate your input and I agree... I don't think I would stop moving to use Aim right now. I think I might use it if I can Mez the target however. Or, if I can get out of the range of my target and just Root it, then stopping to use Aim might work. My problem is that I'm more accurate with a pistol than anything else and that means I have to get close for max possibility of success with LD. If Aim makes a resonable increase in my chance of landing LD, then maybe I can just Root and use Aim from farther away with a Carbine or Rifle. When Concussion Shot is changed to a Mez, then range won't matter... my target won't be able to do anything until I damage him/her/it again. If my next shot is LD, and it hits, then it won't matter if I'm within Pistol range.
Any other thoughts?

Using riflemans advanged aim + dyriumniumumnum pyro gives you +450 to your accuracy for a set amount of time. That's enough accuracy to blow throw improved center of being, duelists stance, or jedi's force aura. With your own accuracy, which should be 100-200, you'll pretty much be hitting for the maximum damage on your gun. Only a master defender or melee defense stacker would have you beat but that means you'd still be middle, which given the damage diferential on our pistols, is a big deal.
So yeah, it'd work. But I'd recomend using Aim from the rifleman tree. It's a timed buff rather than a one shot deal. Or pyro. Preferably both.
At any rate, concussion is a good lead to last ditch right now anyways. After all, if they can't reach you they can't DB you when you miss
And 40 seconds is a long long time.
