Okay, so you are a master smuggler/master pistoleer and whatever else. What do you do in game for fun and to keep your interest? Do you PvP, PvE, check out areas of the game you still have not seen, log in and just talk like a glorified chat room? I guess i am having one of those weeks where my drive for the game is not there. I am sure alot of you have been there. I love being a Master smuggler but what will keep me from going FOTM?

Thank You for you support,

Well I have lots of alt characters on other servers and I also have a few accounts. I went Master Smuggler/ Master CH and I love them both But Ch stinks for PVP and tho I am not much for it all the time I would like to be able to hold my own in a fight and at the moment Smuggler alone is not going to cut it. I would say go and set some personal goals like having one of every Hard to get Item. Av-21 different loot drops things like that.. if that is not up your alley then Maybe a bit of roll-playing.. I love to get into that more but so few do and it's hard to get into it when your the only one doing it Heheh well those are a start. I'm still in the middle of the Heros quest (doing it more for the bragging rights then anything else) I am not on often enough as My smuggler as I spend alot of time getting resourses and upkeep.

Well Let me know if it helps.

I'm a chatroomer, now. I log in now because I feel obliged to my friends, not because the game is interesting.

I have been doing the badge thing, simply because there is nothing else to do, but its actually fun. I also sometimes just log in to chat with friends. which is also fun.

good ideas, i will have to just try and see all the things i havent done in the game. work on some items or loot i might not have. I hope the future addition of many jedi dont push me to want to leave entirely. I have been with it since launch and i guess a side of me would feel like i am giving up.

thanks for your ideas

As of now, I've been just maxing out my experience points for Force Sensitivity...

I've done everything else really, I've done the Corvette to death, beat the Warren three times,I've played through the Death Watch Bunker and Geonosian caves enough that I'm bored with them. I've visited every singleexploration badge site andshown the hidden onesto friends.I've done all the races, I've done all the themeparks (to my knowledge), I've killed enough Tusken Raiders to line the desert from Anchorhead to the Krayt Dragon Graveyard and back. I've walked the halls of Jabba's Palacemore than any of those Gamoreans. I've bet 10000 credits on00 Green at the Jubilee Wheel and won. I'veeven gone as far as tosay "E Chu Ta!" tothe Emperor...In all honesty, I'm running out of things to do

I haven't done 5% of what is in the game yet....been in since Beta 3 and play most everyday, why? Cause I'm lame....no really, cause I have 2 accounts and I thought that having a Master Weaponsmith, and a Master Smuggler on the save server would be cool. But little did I know how time consuming and difficult a Weaponsmith could be. It's like a second job.
Only have done the Geo caves once so far, and fort tusken 3 times (when I discovered that when fully buffed and in comp armor I was invincible there). So I have along way to go......so many things I have not done and planets not yet explored. (Because of the fact that I have a life and don't play 24/7 maybe?)

Wow! What timing! This is a very pertinent question for me right now. For the first time since launch I logged in one day this week, saw that none of my closest friends were on, and immediately logged out. I have been bored with the game lately. But I can tell you what I have tried in the past and am trying now....

-- New character on Test Center .. Actually I am logging into TC more often than Eclipse lately because I am building a totally newb character up into a Rifleman/Swordsman. I am actually having fun hunting again because the creatures I am hunting actually have a chance to kill me! LOL.

-- I tried the POI (Points of Interest) / Badge thing briefly. I got pizzed when I visited several places (on Corellia? I forget...) and it would NOT give me the badge. Also, I visited a lot of the places early in the game (all Ewok villages) and they don't show up in my badge list. Its hard to get motviated to do things twice.

-- Changing professions: This is probably my next move. I LOVE rifle, and I LOVE smuggler and have been both now for going on 8 months. But hunting and slicing get old. The trouble is I dont know which one to surrender. I have enough money to keep me happy for a little while, so my guess is that Smuggler will be the one to go. Maybe its time to dive into PvP which I have always avoided.

Anyways, the bottom line is it is friends that keep me coming back. I like it when I login and check and see my best friends are online.

Whew! Got long winded there. Apologies in advance.

It took me a long time to get to the point where I have done and seen most of what's available. I've tried a few different professions, mainly crafting like Weaponsmith, but they were too much work and I really couldn't see the Galaxy without getting eaten by some big nasty.

So, I began working on the Triple Master. Got that, did things I couldn't before. Did several quests and Themeparks that gave badges or cool items. Finished the Hero Quests. Still have some things I haven't done (Corvette mainly, but also have only run one of the races and won none).

Along the way, I'd play some other characters I made on other servers for variety, but they didn't really get too far, I'd always come back to my Smuggler.

Recently with the imminent Pub10 release, I worked to max out my Pistol, TKA and Combat XP (haven't quite maxed the Combat XP, but I don't want to waste tons of weapons XP maxing it). Having done that, I'm in a limbo state until Pub10 is released so I can begin the new quests (and more grinding it looks like).

In the middle of that, comes JTL and everything to do there.

When I get my new character slot, I'll be seeing everything all over again with "new eyes" (though well-funded eyes, as he'll of course be a good buddy with a reasonably wealthy, though definately not as wealthy as some, Master Smuggler). I'll work him up and eventually go through the FS quests again and he'll become a Jedi.

I've been lucky that with my rate of play, I haven't had long periods of boredom because I just haven't seen/done it all and new things seemed to come out quick enough to keep up with me. If it happens I get a bit tired, I'll take a little break, play a different character, maybe another game (not online), but I always come back.

Right now, I'm in that type of time, since Pub10 was pushed to next week. The 24th would have been perfect for me, but I guess it gives me a quiet time before the publish, and after that's out, I'm busy for quite some time with opening the second slot, JTL with the Smuggler, working up the second character, different style JTL with that character, then Jedi and all that entails.

To keep interrest as a smuggler I:

- Roleplay / hang out in ID salons (IDs can't work afk)
- Craft stuff with my crafter
- shop for anything I need or want, ressources, weapons, clothes, loots etc...
- stock my vendors
- Hang out with guildies
- Practice PvP
- Do the warren

- Turn off the game and living abit
- Watch Star Wars Movie (very rare tho)

etc...

if I'm not interrested anymore, I'll quit and play another game.

I am a shopaholic in SWG (totally opposite from real life). I'm also a compulsive slicer. I've literally stood at armor or weapons vendors, buying several items just to get one with a really awesome slice to use. Usually this means buying about 5 of the same weapon or several suits of armor.

Needless to say, that gets expensive real quick - so I wind up doing solo group missions to fund my habit. It's a nice blend and doesn't usually get monotonous - certainly not nearly so much as the Investigation grind for BH! That got so bad that I took a weekend off from it and travelled to every planet, getting all of the POI location badges.

My other "hobby" in game is art collection. I used to be curator of a museum in the player city I lived in, I'm looking to do start up my own museum again. Like the compulsive slicing, art collection is expensive. I want to put together the loot quest kits but of course the adhesive is hard to find and expensive. So again, I hunt for a few hours each evening, figuring I'll either loot the stuff (hasn't happened yet) or make enough to buy it.

Then, after all that, I cruise the forums for an hour or two.
