You should have asked them to damage slice a weapon for you for 100cr per %. Then they would really be smugglers.

Should have given them something to smuggle and said:
"Here I can't do anything with this!"

First ask them to slice something.If they refuse, beg pitifully. Then whine that their price is too high. Finally, gripe a lot about any results and send them hate tells as you walk away from them.

Of course you have to ask them to slice your "Locked Briefcase" or your droid/pet or to hit the peak of hilarity meat/fruits resources.

Well if you work for the Smugglers Alliance you get missions where you get to smuggle stuff. In essence making you more of a smuggler than a Smuggler. For me, I am so sick of getting the fuzzy end of the content lolly, I am more than happy to not fly an X-Wing in exchange for the promise of my own YT and the opportunity to smuggle.... something. I am of the opinion that Smugglers should gravitate towards privateer anyways. Not like its hard for us Smugglers to get into Jabbas palace, since I am willing to bet the bulk of us have done the theme park

Did you say, "Oh yeah, smartass? Where's your tag?" /pointup
Then they pull out the Privateer Pilot tag and you say, "No, no, sparky...THIS ONE!" and whip out the Master Smuggler tag.

Yeah, but then you're just leaving yourself open to his response: "Oh? What do you do with that?"
At which point you get to sputter for awhile, mumble something about slicing containers and weapons, and producing spices in your basement, while he gets bored, wanders off and SMUGGLES SOMETHING.

naa... that's when you challenge duel, low blow, last ditch a couple times and then hit FD and ask them if they can go smuggle anything now.

Tonight alone, I asked 4 different people that I didn't know who I was grouping with what kind of pilot they were (Privateer, Rebel, Imperial). No biggie, right? This was on 4 different occassions tonight too, so they weren't collaborating.
When these four people were asked "Which faction pilot are you?" the answer given every time was: "I'm a smuggler."
I realize these guys mean that they're Privateers...but...what the crap!? I guess it fits though, the Privateer profession has more smuggling content than we've had given or taken from us since Day 1.
It's important to note that this wasn't the first time that I've asked someone this and they've said "smuggler" instead of "privateer". I'm thinking that so long as we, as real smugglers, get actual smuggling content come revamp time, the wannabe-smuggler Privateers can call themselves whatever they want to.
The only thing I'm afraid of is that since I've seen it coming from a fairly good amount of people that Privateers will be looked at as the Smuggler profession where we, the real smugglers, are left in the shadows...and not in a cool underworld shadows kind of way either.
I can put up with people not in my profession calling themselves "smugglers" for only so long, then I snap.
Privateer does not a Smuggler make.
