"Profession: Smuggler
You will no longer be able to slice an item by using a tool in a crate. You will have to remove it from the crate first."
That does it for me. If the devs don't hotfix this in a few days, I get to make a big decision. Quit the game or quit Smuggler. I have NO faith, no trust for the devs any more. They are nerfers, not fixers. Pray I never meet you devs, you will feel pain.

I didn't even think of those guys. Now I'm really sad.

Wow, that'll make it so fun to slice full armor suits when you have an inventory that is almost full.

This is my first post
. I havent had a reason to post before but this "fix" for smuggler is rediculous, all it does is make slicing very tedious. All i can say is if it dont get fixed then my prices for slicing are gonna sky rocket. If i cant enjoy slicing any more then im sure gonna make a lot of money out of it.

I just tried slicing something, and I selected to use a flow analyzer, and I used it on the weapon, TAKING IT FROM A FACTORY CRATE.
Then I proceeded to use a molecular clamp on the same item, TAKING IT FROM A FACTORY CRATE.
So, I guess maybe this didn't quite work out how they wanted it to.

Indeed, I suspect this was to "fix" the bug where you use a laser knife from a crate and use up the entire knife rather than the charges on the knife.
It again shows this team's tendencey to use sloppy short cuts due to the lack of time given them to actually work on features properly. I feel sorry for the team that has so little time and resources that they have to nerf a whole bunch of things in order to fix it. The method we've seen them use time and time again is "remove the feature, don't waste time fixing that small part of it" (unless of course it's the least iconic profession in the game or a profession that shouldn't even be in the game due to the chosen time line). This will mean a lot of hastle in the long run when slicing for people who want 2 suits andsome weapons done at once.
On another note, there are some key game features that've had some nice tweaks in this publish (supposedly) so I guess we just have to take the good with the bad. it's justa shame most of the bad seems to be constantly leveled at my two main professions.
*sigh*
Ah well, roll on JTL, at least I can vent my frustrations on some poor unsuspecting Tie pilots.

WHAT?! WHY!?! How is this an issue in any way shape or form!? Why would they do this !? This is just crazy.
Uncalled for Nurf. There was no balance issue here... there was no economy issue (the tools will still be created and stored in the same quantity and in crates ... you just added 3 needles double clicks per slice.) NEEDLESS AND POORLY THOUGHT OUT KICK IN THE NUTS TO SMUGGLERS
I'm a jedi...and this is now my biggest problem with patch nine...thank you devs.

lol.. its not that big of a deal. who cares. Is it really that big of a deal to rightclick and hit the number 1 ? I think I've got it down to under a second by now.

Youve obviously never sliced a 1000 piece order before. thats an extra 3000 clicks in one order. My poor mouse already takes a beating when ever i work for an armorsmith.

This nerf will make large orders like I am used to doing mind bogglingly tedious. Take out a knife, a clamp, and either a WUK or AUK for every slice. Gah! My finger already hurts just thinking about it. I also feel very, very sorry for the guys and gals who are still trying to grind up to master smuggler. Gah what a grind! Nearly as bad as the poor ID'ers.
